About this listen

We’re Tim and Chris Peterson, and after nearly four decades of marriage, we’re Still Holding Hands. Not because everything has always been easy—but because we’ve learned to stay connected through every season. Still Holding Hands is more than a name; it’s a reminder that marriage is built one small, intentional choice at a time. • Why Intimacy Matters In Your Marriage
    May 20 2026

Why does intimacy matter so much in a Christian marriage—and why do so many couples struggle to maintain it? In this episode of Still Holding Hands, Tim & Chris unpack God’s design for intimacy, exploring how emotional, physical, and spiritual connection are essential for a thriving, Christ-centered relationship.

If you’ve ever felt distant from your spouse, struggled with communication, or wondered how faith and intimacy truly work together, this conversation will give you clarity and practical direction. We dive into what the Bible says about marriage intimacy, why connection often fades over time, and how couples can intentionally rebuild closeness in every season.

You’ll discover how intimacy strengthens trust, deepens unity, and protects your marriage from disconnection. We also share practical tools for improving communication, prioritizing your spouse, and reigniting both emotional and physical connection—without shame, pressure, or unrealistic expectations.

Whether you’re newly married or have been together for years, this episode will help you understand why intimacy isn’t optional—it’s foundational to a healthy Christian marriage.

  • Life's Priorities in Marriage: God, Work, Kids...What Comes First?
    May 6 2026

Many couples love each other but struggle with priorities. In this episode of Still Holding Hands, Tim & Chris Peterson talk about blending God, work, kids, church, and marriage so your relationship doesn’t get pushed to the bottom of the list.

    Life's Priorities:

    • God
    • Spouse
    • Kids
    • Church
    • Work

    1 Corinthians 14:33 (NLT)

    Psalms 92:13-14 (NKJV)

    Matthew 6:33 (NLT)

Song: "First Things First" - Consumed by Fire

    STILL HOLDING HANDS CHALLENGE:

    Do a 30 minute Priority Checkup/Reset

    • Have an honest conversation
      • Ask each other: "Where do you think you fall in my priorities?"
      • Ask each other: "Where do you want to be in my priorities?"
    • Individually, rand for yourself these 5 priorities:
      • Faith/Relationship with the Lord
      • Marriage
      • Kids/Family
      • Church
      • Work
    • Then compare each of your lists
      • Where are you aligned?
      • Where are you off?
    • ACTION: Make one adjustment in your priorities this week
      • Attend church together
      • Say no to any extra commitment this week
      • Log off ON TIME or early from work

Strong marriages aren't built on accident, they are built on purpose...priority purpose. When you get this right, you won't just stay married, you will stay connected.
