Episode five of RJ and Mama is a lively recap of summer fun, creativity, and RJ’s wonderfully unfiltered storytelling. Mama opens by reminding listeners that the show celebrates children’s opinions — raw, honest, and often hilarious.

RJ shares highlights from their Yorkshire trip, from early‑morning packing advice (“fold your clothes!”) to arriving at Mama’s friend’s home, discovering a giant beanbag, and eating some cold chips from McDonald’s. The pottery session was the star of the trip: RJ painted a heart and a bowl using his splatter‑and‑dot technique, and leaving Yorkshire made him cry because he “enjoyed it so much.” The journey home turned into an eight‑hour saga of cancelled trains and confusion.

Back in London, RJ spent a week at creative media school, discovering digital art, photography, clay modelling, and even directing a Harry Potter scene. He proudly describes making a brown teddy bear and creating a magnetic canvas artwork — which he’s offering as a giveaway to listeners.

The episode closes with RJ and Mama reflecting on their favourite summer moments: Yorkshire for RJ, and painting, travelling, and time together for Mama. It’s a warm, funny celebration of creativity, curiosity, and the beautiful chaos of family life.
