The Tampa Bay Bourbon Boyz were back at it again, and this time we teamed up with Morgan from Winthrop Liquors Inc. in Riverview for a barrel pick that turned out to be something REALLY special!

Our selection? Old Dominick, a fantastic distillery out of Memphis, Tennessee.

This particular barrel is an 8-year-old whiskey that entered the barrel at 110 proof and came out the other side at a monster 131.40 proof! 💥

But here's the thing about doing a proper barrel pick: you can't judge a barrel by one sample.

We went through several samples during the selection process, and that's one of the things we really appreciate about working with a great rep. Instead of limiting the group to just three barrels, we were able to taste through several different options.

And that's important because not every barrel is ready to be picked.

After tasting, discussing, comparing notes, and going back and forth, everyone came to an agreement.
