    Our guest today is Dr. Saralyn Mark. Dr. Mark is an expert in space medicine, women’s health, endocrinology, and geriatrics. As President and CEO of SolaMed Solutions and its space subsidiary, she advises organizations and agencies including NASA, and the White House on health and space-related policies and programs. Dr. Mark is also President of iGIANT, the only non-profit accelerating gendered innovation/precision design in the world. She holds four academic appointments including at Yale and King’s College-London in the Centre for Human and Aerospace Physiology. Dr. Mark authored “Stellar Medicine: A Journey Through the Universe of Women’s Health” and is a regular contributor to media outlets, and hosts the podcast, Always Searching.

    Our guest today is Brian Greene. Brian is professor of physics and mathematics, renowned for his groundbreaking discoveries in superstring theory, including the co-discovery of mirror symmetry and of spatial topology change. He is known to the public through his books, The Elegant Universe, The Fabric of the Cosmos, and The Hidden Reality. The Washington Post called him “the single best explainer of abstruse concepts in the world today.” Professor Greene hosted two Peabody and Emmy Award winning NOVA miniseries based on his books and is a frequent television guest, joining Stephen Colbert several times and playing himself in an episode of The Big Bang Theory. He has also had cameo roles in a number of Hollywood films including Frequency, Maze and The Last Mimzy. With producer Tracy Day, Greene co-founded the World Science Festival and he is the Director of Columbia University’s Center for Theoretical Physics.

    Our guest today is Dr. Kate Rubin. Dr. Rubin is a former NASA astronaut, scientist, Professor of Computational and Systems Biology, and Founding Director of the Trivedi Institute for Space and Global Biomedicine, She was the first person to sequence DNA in space. Selected as a NASA astronaut in 2009, she has led the development of spaceflight hardware and techniques for studying molecular and cellular biology in microgravity and contributed to the design and testing of NASA’s next-generation lunar spacesuits. She has completed two long-duration missions, four spacewalks, and spent 300 days aboard the International Space Station. Her current work bridges space exploration and global health, with a focus on genomics, synthetic biology, and biomedical innovation.
