Marie-Louise is being an individual on her own in New York City! She says she misses Jeanie and Pauline but distracts herself back stage with actor Matthew Broderick who is in a play with a “Derry Girls” connection!

Only one of the Talking Derry Girls goes on a Road Trip this time. Marie-Louise heads to NYC, where she sees the American premier of David Ireland’s play “Ulster American” . David is a writer and actor who played Clare’s daddy Sean Devlin in “Derry Girls”. ML goes back stage to meet actors Matthew Broderick, Geraldine Hughes and Max Baker, and director Ciarán O’Reilly, at the Irish Repertory Theatre, off Broadway.

In ‘How to Get To Heaven from Belfast' as Garda Liam Kells, he has left Dublin in mysterious circumstances and is now stationed in the sleepy Donegal village of Knockdara. ( Directions available on request)

He gets to flex his investigative and actual muscles as Saoirse’s will they/wont they love interest. Interrogation and taking down of particulars a speciality.

He certainly got the measure of the TDGs.

The Talking Derry Girls caught up with Caoilfhionn prior to the red carpet premiere in Belfast.

For How to Get to Heaven from Belfast she plays Dara, one of the leads, friend of Robyn and Saoirse. She is the live-in carer for her mum.

She is gay but suffocated by her Catholicism. All in all she's a hot mess of friendship, faith and fear! (All similarities to the Talking Derry Girls are purely coincidental!)
