    We are increasingly addicted to Mobile Devices and the Data.AI State of Mobile 2024 shows some pretty interesting research into our addictions.

    Takeaways

    • App downloads were up 1%, to 257 Billion. That’s 489,000 apps downloaded per minute.
    • Consumer spending hit a new high at $171 billion (+3% YoY) following a 2% YoY dip in 2022. That’s $325,000 per minute.
    • On average we are spending 5 hours per day, per user in mobile apps. That’s up 6% and it equates to ⅓ of our daily awake hours.
    • So with everyone spending more time in apps, it makes sense that mobile ad spend is up 8% to $362 Billion!
    • 11.1% increase in app spend to $64B
