  • The Death of industrial Farming with Matthieu Mehuys
    Jun 14 2025

Today’s guest is Matthieu Mehuys—an award-winning author, landscape architect, and regenerative farming visionary. He grew up on a family farm in Belgium, where his obsession with plants started at just three years old. That early passion led him to a master’s degree in landscape architecture—but after landing what seemed like a dream job, Matthieu quickly realized he was stuck in a system that didn’t match his purpose.

So, he walked away. What followed was a globe-spanning journey through some of the world’s most inspiring gardens and ecological projects. That experience shaped the work he’s doing today: designing low-maintenance, high-impact gardens, farms, and developments that help restore biodiversity and fight climate change.

In our conversation, we dig into more than just Matthieu’s journey—we explore the future of sustainable farming and gardening. From emerging tech to innovative ideas that could revolutionize how we interact with the land, Matthieu shares his vision for what’s possible when we work with nature, not against it.

He’s also the author of 12 Universal Laws of Nature and the creator of the “Garden of Your Dreams” training program, helping people around the world create spaces that thrive without heavy maintenance or environmental cost.

Matthieu, welcome to the show—let’s get into it.
