It would be great to hear your thoughts on this episode but remember- please keep them kind .
Bullying doesn’t end at the school gates. It follows people into workplaces, friendships and, sometimes most painfully, their own families.
In this episode of The Simon Laurie King Podcast, I explore the bully, the person they target, and the bystanders who watch it happen. From managers who turn authority into a weapon to family members who undermine those they should support, we examine control, jealousy, humiliation and the damage sustained bullying can leave behind. Drawing on personal experience, I also reflect on the bully’s clique—and what can happen when its familiar victim is no longer there.
This is also a conversation about reclaiming your confidence, setting boundaries and refusing to let someone else’s cruelty define you. We’ll explore why walking away can be an act of self-preservation, and why moving forward doesn’t have to mean forgiveness.
If you’ve ever been belittled, isolated or left wondering why nobody spoke up, this episode is for you.
