    May 5 2026
A weekend of blowout golf victories, a bad weekend for Boston sports, and WiTricity CEO Joe Benz on the future of golf carts. The new Cadillac Championship brought golf back to Doral and the Blue Monster, where Cam Young could do no wrong, even if nobody showed up to watch. The LPGA was in Mexico for the Riviera Maya Open, and Nelly Korda won again, continuing her great season of only finishing first or second. The Senior Tour's second major, the Regions Tradition, was won by 3 strokes by Steward Cink, who claimed his second major of the season and his fourth win of the season. The PGA TOUR made some official announcements about the 2027 season, and confirmed what we all knew: no more Hawaii to start the year. LIV Golf's free fall continues as PIF officially pulls its funding and players start to explore paths back to the PGA TOUR. The PGA TOUR now heads back to Charlotte for the Truist Championship, while the LPGA goes to NYC for the Mizuho Americas Open. Alex is headed to Las Vegas this week for gambling, food, and more. In Tuned In, Michael can't believe the finish at this weekend's Kentucky Derby, while Alex is in love with the man who couldn't wait on an airplane anymore. This week's goes is Joe Benz, the CEO of WiTricity, a company revolutionizing how golf carts get charged. Alex chats with Joe about how the company is making it easier than ever to use electric carts, plus what Joe's takes are on what goes on in his golf cart. Boston had one horrible weekend when it came to sports, as the Bruins and Celtics lost in the first round of their playoffs, at home, and the Red Sox continue to stink and the Mike Vrabel saga continues to look worse and worse. As the guys #AlwaysEndWithFood, Alex shares what he's expecting to eat in Vegas, including a cheap hot dog and beer combo, while Michael says rainy days are for baking cookies. The PGA Tour was in New Orleans of the Zurich Classic, where Matt Fitzpatrick was able to lift up his brother and give him a TOUR card for the next two years as the Fitzpatrick brothers won the team event. The PGA TOUR returns to The Blue Monster, Trump National Doral, for the first time in 10 years, at the new Cadillac Championship. While Michael is just taking it easy, Alex has a busy week ahead including his dad's birthday. The NFL Draft was its usual crazy time, and everyone is now riding the high of good prospects for their team. Alex's Patriots, meanwhile, are still reeling from the Mike Vrable affair. • The Uncertain LIV Future and Ryan Lenahan and Haley Sturgeon
    Apr 22 2026
LIV golf has a bad week, and chats with club professionals in this week's PGA Professional Championship. The RBC Heritage went to a playoff where Matt Fitzpatrick took another win at Harbour Town. The Zurich Classic is next for the TOUR, where teams of two face off including the unlikely duo of Shane Lowry and Brooks Koekpa. LIV Golf's Mexico event was overshadowed by news that PIF was going to stop funding the breakaway tour. Uncertainty remains for the future of the rival circuit, as Alex and Michael discuss the possible landing spot for the marquee players left on LIV. The Senior PGA Championship included another hole-in-one for Miquel Angel Jimenez, and a low Sunday for a big win for Stewart Cink. The LPGA's KM Eagle LA Championship went to a 3-woman playoff as Hannas Green notched her third victory at the event in four years. The Chevron Championship starts the LPGA's major season, as Alex heads to Houston to catch the event and talk to the stars. Alex was enjoying catching the newest PopStroke in central Texas, while Michael got a weekend away in Chattanooga, TN. In Tuned In, Alex shares an update from COUCHella's second week, while Michael is catching the new America's Culinary Cup on CBS. This week's first guest is Haley Sturgeon, a club professional from Utah who qualified for this week's PGA Professional Championship and shares how she may be in a special place to play well for a chance for a spot at the PGA Championship at Aronimink. Ryan Lenahan made a weird mistake at last year's PGA Professional Championship, but he's back again this year and talks with Alex about his preparation and grind to get back to the PGA Championship. The NBA Playoffs are here and Alex gives his best 60 second thoughts on the Celtics and Lakers. The NFL Draft takes over this week, as Michael's Giants trade for another pick in the top 10, and Alex's Patriots sit quietly. As the guys #AlwaysEndWithFood, Alex is enjoying a burger taco, while Michael goes to a James Beard Finalist bakery in Chattanooga. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
