• Golf is Back! and Large from Barstool Sports
    Jan 20 2026
Golf returns in Hawaii, the NFL playoffs heat up, and Large from Barstool Sports talks boxing, NY food, and more. The Sony Hawaiin Open opened up the PGA season for what may be the first and last time, and a familiar name kicked off the season strong. Plus, one grizzled veteran played much better then expected. The PGA TOUR now heads to California for the American Express, and Alex and Michael predict how well Scottie Scheffler will do, not just in his debut, but in his 2026 season. The WTGL announced five stars who will headline the women's simulator league next year, and the international list has lots of star power but is still missing one big name. Rory McIlroy had a surprising choke on the 18th hole of the DP World Tour's Dubai Invitational, making way for Nacho Elvira to claim the tournament. This week is the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, FL, where all the equipment and apparel and gadget and more companies showcase their newest and best to the world. Alex is ready to fly out to Orlando for his fifth show, and shares what to expect at this golf merchandise mecca. Alex brings in a new segment, "Do You Remember?" asking Michael what he remembers from snow days as a kid in New England. In Tuned In, Michael caught the 2025 Pedro Pascal film Freaky Tales, while Alex is watching the new season of Fear Factor. This week's guest is Michael "Large" McCarthy from Barstool Sports. The former Wall Street guy turned sports commentator and NYC Food Reviewer, shares with Alex what it's like to work for El Presidente, eating great food in New York, and what makes Katz's Deli so special. The NFL's playoffs continue to produce some incredible games this season, as Alex's Patriots look to now have a clear path to the Super Bowl. As the guys #AlwaysEndWithFood, Alex is excitedly all-in on the new love of whole milk by the Trump administration, and Michael shares a unique way to get more milk into his diet. • Brooks Koepka Returns and RepSpark Founder Meghann Butcher
    Jan 13 2026
Brooks Koepka jumps back to the PGA TOUR, the NFL Wild Card Weekend was exactly that, and RepSpark Founder and CEO Meghann Butcher goes inside baseball on golf merchandise. Brooks Koepka officially tries to return to the PGA TOUR, and after Alex and Michael talk about it (and finish recording) then come back to share breaking news that changed everything they talked about. Tiger's TGR Foundation is having a Birthday Gala to kick off the year, and it's full of 2000's celebrities and Tiger's favorite foods. Vijay Singh, the "favorite" golfer of Alex and Michael, is returning to the PGA TOUR thanks to a little used exemption, and the guys wonder why. The Sony Open kicks off the season this weekend, but is this the last time the TOUR goes to Hawaii? Alex's Dry January is off to a great start, but how is he being social at the bar without the booze? In Tuned In, Michael watches the 2025 Oscar favorite "A Real Pain," while Alex is catching the Golden Globes and the new season of Beast Games. College Football hurdles towards the National Championship, and Miami gets to play a home game, and probably lose, against this season's powerhouse that is Indiana. In the NFL, the Wild Card Weekend was, well, wild. Alex breaks down the games from the weekend and looks ahead to his Patriots winning some more games. Michael shares some weird headlines in baseball, including how the Athletics may need a new name, and how baseball may grow and change in ways that makes the PGA TOUR's proposed changes seem small in comparison. As the guys #AlwaysEndWithFood, Alex is enjoying the January diet tacos and pizza, while Michael's busy social calendar is costing him dearly. Learn more about your ad choices. The DP World Tour had two events this weekend, but it was Rory's odd shot off a fruit that caught the world at the Australian Open.
