Culture is not neutral. It is fighting hard to change your child — every algorithm, every classroom, and every peer group is competing for the heart and mind of the next generation.

The Daniel Project exists for parents who refuse to let Babylon win the hearts of their kids. Hosted by pastor, professor, and author Dr. Dennis Harry, this podcast brings over two decades of pastoral ministry and the hard-fought wisdom of a father who raised four children, who are all adults and all walking with the Lord.

This is not a parenting tips podcast. What you will find here is Biblically grounded strategy for the long game: worldview deconstruction, defragmenting the home, a theology of suffering and resilience, and the power of narrative discipleship.

Each episode is rooted in Scripture and built for parents who are serious about leaving a multigenerational legacy. The goal is not a child who survives inside a protected bubble. The goal is raising Daniel, a young adult who steps into Babylon with owned conviction, fears God, and comes out with a stronger faith.

017 Kids Can Smell Hypocrisy...Modeling Consistent Faith to Your Children
    Oct 16 2026
Your kids don't inherit the faith you talk about. They inherit the faith they see you live out faithfully.

In this episode, Dennis opens 2 Timothy 1:5 to show why Timothy's unfeigned faith was believable, and how it was passed on to him by his mother and grandmother...and what that means for parents whose faith looks different at home, church, and work.

Learn why "do as I say, not as I do" fails, and discover three simple, practical steps you can take this week to be real to your kids.

Raising uncompromised kids in a modern Babylon. Dr. Dennis Harry equips Christian parents to move beyond surface-level parenting toward a bold, intentional strategy for building a faith that stands alone.

016 Raising Discerning Kids in a Conspiracy Culture
    Oct 9 2026
Did we land on the moon? Is the world flat? Did the U.S. orchestrate the 9/11 attacks? Does Australia really exist?

Twenty years ago, a deacon slipped Dennis a CD of “evidence” supporting a well-known conspiracy theory after a deacons' meeting, like a spy passing along secret intelligence. It was eye-opening!

Today, our culture offers an endless feed of skepticism to your children. Their message...trust no one, all authority is lying, and only those who know the right people have the truth.

In this episode, Dennis opens Psalm 11:3-4 to ask what the righteous can do when the foundations are questioned. He shows how conspiracy culture is a modern version of the old gnostic counterfeit of hidden knowledge for the enlightened few, and how the gospel answers it.

Christ is the treasure of wisdom and knowledge, and the faith was “not done in a corner.” Parents will leave with four things to do this week: teach “How do we know?”, run a Berean Night, audit your child’s “research” habits, and model “I don’t know, let’s find out.”

The goal is children who are neither gullible nor cynical, but who test everything and hold fast to what is good.

015 The New Golden Calf: Digital Idolatry and Our Children
    Sep 25 2026
In your child's pocket right now, something is there that will form their identity...their appetites, emotional reflexes; it's a place their heart runs to, whether you're paying attention to it or not.

In this episode, Dennis unpacks Exodus 32, the golden calf at the base of Sinai, and a story he and his wife Lorrie lived out firsthand watching students text each other on a bench inside the Holocaust Museum...All of this to answer a question we have to ask ourselves as parents: what is digital technology actually doing to my child's heart?

Not just how much time it takes away from homework, but what it's quietly teaching them to worship.

You'll learn why the golden calf pattern of impatience, comfort, and control looks exactly like a kid reaching for a phone screen, and how today's algorithms build a personalized idol tailored to your specific child. We will look at three concrete things you can do this week to reclaim the first and last moments of your family's day.

Because the goal isn't a kid who never touches a phone. It's a kid who can hold one, and not be held in its grip.
