What do you do when you desperately want someone to know Jesus, but every way you’ve tried to reach them seems blocked?

In Jeremiah 36:1–7, God gives Jeremiah a message for a people He longs to restore. But there’s a problem: Jeremiah cannot go where the people are. The obstacle is real. Instead of allowing it to become the end of the mission, Jeremiah finds another way.

How are you saved? Is being a good person enough?

Most of us have some kind of spiritual scoresheet. We look at the good we've done, the mistakes we have made, how often we go to church, or how our lives compare with everyone else. Some look at the score and think, "I've done enough." Others look at it and wonder, "Could God ever want someone like me?"

But what if both are looking in the wrong direction?

In this sermon from Ephesians 2:4-10, Pastor Jason Barnett explores what the Bible says about salvation, God's grace, faith in Jesus, and good works. Paul's answer is surprisingly freeing: salvation isn't something we accomplish or earn. It is God's gift, and the good things we do come after God makes us alive in Christ, not as a way of convincing Him to save us.

Whether you're exploring Christianity, new to following Jesus, carrying regrets from your past, or have been in church your entire life, this message invites you to consider one important question: When you think about whether you are saved, are you looking at what Jesus has done or at what you have done?

You believe in Jesus. You know the Bible stories. Maybe you can point back to the moment you first gave our life to Christ. But when was the last time your faith actually moved you?

In "Pick Up the Hammer," Pastor Jason Barnett closes the Faith in Work Boots series from James 2:20-26, where James points to Abraham and Rahab as examples of a faith that didn't stay safely on the shelf. Their trust in God became visible through obedience.

Most of us would never say we believe some people matter more than others. But what happens when our actions reveal a seating chart we didn't realize was there?

In James 2:1-13, James confronts favoritism in the church and challenges the way Christians judge people by wealth, reputation, family, appearance, and status. His words are uncomfortable because he doesn't dismiss favoritism as personal preference or harmless bias. He calls it sin.

But this message isn't only for those who have judged others. It is also for anyone who knows what it feels like to be judged, overlooked, or made to feel like the wrong kind of person. The answer James points us toward isn't more judgment, it is mercy.

What does loving your neighbor actually require? How should the mercy of Jesus change the way Christians see and treat people? And what if some of our hardest judgments reveal places where we still need Christ's mercy ourselves?

People who receive mercy don't add to the load; they share it.

It is easy to see the cracks in someone else's life. Their bad decisions. Their anger. Their compromises. Their sin.

But what if James wants to inspect a different house?
