Are We There Yet?

In this episode of The Empress & The Rock, we take a step back and look at something lots of people overlook when they’re trying to grow, change or build something new - the foundations.
Before the expansion. Before the results. Before the “are we there yet?” moment.
We chat about what it really looks like when things aren’t flowing yet, from Chris navigating the frustrations of learning Kundalini Yoga to me unpicking my crochet. Those moments where progress feels slow, messy or even like you’re going backwards.
But this is the work.
This episode is about recognising that grounding isn’t just something you ‘do’, it’s something you build. It’s the steady base that allows everything else to grow from a place of strength, rather than pressure or urgency.
Through the energy of spring, we reflect on patience, timing and learning to stay with the process, even when the results aren’t visible yet.
Because real growth doesn’t come from rushing ahead. It comes from being steady enough to hold what’s on its way.

Spring Equinox – Finding Balance in a Season of Awakening

As we move through the Spring Equinox, nature offers us a powerful moment of balance—equal light and dark, a pause before true growth begins. But this season of awakening isn’t always as clear or effortless as it seems.

In this episode, we gently explore the idea of a “spring of deception”—those moments where growth can feel confusing, overwhelming, or even misleading. When everything is shifting, how do we know what’s truly aligned for us?

Drawing on the wisdom of Crystal & Kundalini Yoga with the balance of the positive, negative, and neutral minds, you’ll be guided back to a place of clarity, trust, and inner steadiness.

This episode includes a calming yet simple practices to help you:

• Find balance before moving forward
• Navigate emotional and energetic shifts with ease
• Reconnect to your own inner truth and timing

A soft, grounding listen for anyone feeling the pull of change… but wanting to move through it with trust rather than pressure.

Just keep swimming!

In this episode of The Empress & the Rock, we talk about thresholds. Those in-between spaces where the old way of life or working no longer fits but the new one hasn’t crystallised yet. We reflect on how we have moved away from live crystal sales and the impact that has had on us plus wider business and life changes and how transitions can unsettle us, even when they’re the right thing to do. We explore what it means to keep trusting during uncertainty and why moments of panic, frustration and anger are normal parts of the change process.
From swimming with manatees in Florida to Kundalini Breath Work, we look at how growth isn’t always about moving forward. Sometimes it’s about treading water, orientating yourself and waiting until the moment to move is genuinely right.
