Good evening. Florida. I'm Aaron Jolly. If you're waking up in North Florida or the Big Bend, you're literally in the clouds right now. That dense fog advisory is the main event this morning, with visibility dropping to a quarter mile or less in spots. You'll want to give yourself plenty of extra time if you're commuting before 10 A.M., when that sun finally burns it off. In the next 24 hours. Down in Central Florida, you're dealing with patchy fog until about 9 A.M., but the Tampa Bay area is already waking up to partly cloudy skies. South Florida is clear and breezy, with those east winds gusting to 21 miles an hour. Here's what's really wild about today. It feels more like May than March. Tampa Bay tops out at 86 degrees. Central Florida reaches 83. North Florida climbs to 77 after the fog lifts. South Florida is the cool spot today at 79, thanks to that ocean breeze. Tonight. South Florida sees showers and thunderstorms rolling through between 11 P.M. and 3 A.M. The rest of the state stays dry, but that fog creeps back into North Florida overnight. Tomorrow keeps the heat on. Tampa Bay hits 87. Central Florida reaches 85. North Florida climbs to 80. We're running a solid 58 degrees to 58 degrees above normal. Looking ahead, this pattern holds through the weekend. We're talking near-record highs from Thursday through Sunday. Afternoon showers and storms become a daily possibility, especially inland. And if you're thinking about a beach day, think twice. That rip current risk stays elevated along Atlantic beaches through Friday. Tonight's full moon will be bright, but clouds may block the show in South Florida. We're gaining nearly two minutes of daylight every day now, with the spring equinox just two weeks away.
