Faith in our faith will lead to disillusionment, but faith in God’s character will keep one strong even when His plans look different than our own. Julie shares her testimony of faith since childhood, and how her faith was tested through a season of experiencing spiritual abuse and strengthened in the valley of foster care having to give up children she loved back to life. Faith is war, but it’s also surrender. True faith does not “name and claim” their wish list and treat God like a genie or slot machine. True faith is trusting Him and His goodness/faithfulness even when He doesn’t move His hand the way we believe He should. Now, Julie helps hold up the arms of many who must contend for the vulnerable yet who also must leave the result to God alone.

This courageous family shares their fight of faith journey on the field of pediatric cancer when their young daughter was first diagnosed, and through three relapses. They share the real, raw, and redemptive as they describe getting the news, walking through the trauma that followed with their warrior daughter, and how the Lord has helped the whole family overcome, day by day.

Pastor Vic, lead pastor of Living Word Church in Lacombe (Louisiana), shares his story of deepening his faith and trust in the Lord over time, and coming to understand the Holy Spirit’s power and influence in a believer’s life as “helper” and “comforter”. He talks about how the Lord restored his son to health after reoccurring health scares, and how a nighttime encounter his wife had impacted her cancer diagnosis and her heart to pray for others.

Sheriff Gerald Sticker of Tangipahoa Parish came packing with truth and transparency, refreshing for leaders in his position to demonstrate. In honor of law enforcement, and in recognition of National Police Week, we talk about the call of duty, drawing closer to the Lord, trusting Him, and keeping your heart healthy while a first responder to crisis, pain, and manifested evil. We also talk about the impact of PTSD, the loss of our blue, and preparing the next generation of officers for the demands and sacrifices they face being on the frontlines and how we can better support them.
