He was stoned by the envious Jewish religious leaders; A great persecution against the newly forming Christian church began buy the Jewish religious authorities; the disciples of the risen Jesus were spreading the message of Jesus everywhere they could; one of the greatest Jewish persecutors of the newly forming church, the Pharisee Saul, had an encounter on the road to Damascus with the risen Jesus. Saul realized this Jesus he was wrongly persecuting was in fact God, and Saul's name was changed to Paul and he became the greatest apostle of Jesus and responsible for the writing of approximately 40 percent of the New Testament and did more than anyone else to spread the message of Jesus around the world.     Three thousand people became followers of Jesus at one time due to Peter's preaching; the apostles were now performing signs and wonders in Jesus's name; the believers in Jesus helped and supported eachother and their numbers grew daily; Peter heal a man crippled from birth; Peter strongly preaches about Jesus to everyone; As the followers of Jesus grew due to the apostles preaching, Peter and John were imprisoned for preaching about Jesus. With the Holy Spirit in him, Peter strongly preached about Jesus to the religious leaders that had Jesus crucified; the religious leaders warn the apostles to stop preaching about Jesus but the apostles refuse to stop preaching about Him; as the apostles were praying, the place they were at shook and they were filled with the Holy Spirit; Peter healed the sick and cast our impure spirits; the high priest and Saducees put the apostles in jail for speaking about Jesus, but an angel freed them from jail and sent them back to preach about Jesus; the apostles were rounded up again and ordered not to preach about Jesus, but the apostles refused to stop preaching; the apostles were flogged for preaching about Jesus and the apostles rejoiced because they were found worthy to suffer for Jesus.

    After Jesus died, Joseph of Arimathea buried Him. On the third day, followers of Jesus found His tomb empty. Two angels and Jesus appeared to Mary Magdalene at Jesus's empty tomb. Jesus appeared to His disciples and gave them the Holy Spirit. The risen Jesus performed many signs in front of His disciples. The risen Jesus asked Peter three times if he loves Him. Jesus told Peter that one day Peterwould also be crucified to glorify God. John testifies that Jesus did many more things than was written in the Bible. THE BOOK OF ACTS: The risen Jesus was taken back up into heaven in front of His disciples. The Holy Spirit came to the disciples at Pentecost, and they began to speak in different languages. With the power of the Holy Spirit in him, Peter began to preach about Jesus to the people around him.

    THE CRUCIFIXION EVENTS OF JESUS IN THE GOSPEL OF JOHN: Jesus is arrested by the chief priests and Pharisees; Peter pulled out his sword and sliced off the ear of the high priest's servant trying to protect Jesus from being arrested. Jesus tells Peter to stop- these upcoming events are what Jesus came here for; Peter gets separated from Jesus, loses his courage and denies knowing Jesus three times; Jesus was brought to Pilate, the Roman governor who had authority to issue a death sentence to Jesus. Pilate questions Jesus and Jesus tells Pilate His kingdom is not of this world. Pilate finds Jesus innocent of any charges. Pilate offers the people an opportunity to set free one of two prisoners- Jesus, who Pilate deemed to be innocent, or Barabbas. They asked for Barabbas to be freed in place of Jesus. Plate had Jesus flogged, a crown of thorns was placed on His head, a purple robe out on Him to mock Him and the soldiers beat Him. Pilate attempted to release Jesus again, finding Jesus innocent. The people demanded Jesus be crucified. Pilate gave in to avoid an uprising against him and allowed Jesus to be crucified. Jesus was crucified and died. A spear was thrust into His side to insure He was dead

    Jesus tells His disciples that He is the only way to get to God the Father; Jesus says if we keep His commands, God the Father will give us the Holy Spirit; anyone who obeys Jesus's commands and teachings will be loved by Him and God the Father; Jesus teaches that He is the vine and His followers are the branches- we can only bear fruit if we remain in Jesus; Jesus repeatedly states how important it is for us to follow what He commands us in His Word; don't be surprised if the world hates you as a follower of Jesus because the world hated Jesus first; Jesus tells His followers that He will soon go away but God the Holy Spirit will come and be with them; God the Father loves those that love His son Jesus; Jesus prays to the God theFather for Himself and for all His followers right before His crucifixion events began.

    Jesus gives sight to a man that was born blind, and He healed him on the Sabbath. The Pharisees debated with eachother if Jesus was sent by God because he healed the blind man, but healed him on the Sabbath. Jesus told the Pharisees they are guilty of sin because they know what they are doing and are doing it willfully; Jesus tells the parable of The Good Shepherd and His Sheep, and anyone who comes to Him will be saved; Jesus tells the Jews that He is the Messiah but they won't believe Him; Jesus tells the Jews that He and God the Father are one. The Jews attempt to stone Jesus claiming thi statement was blasphemy. Jesus then tells them that He is God's Son. They tried to seize Jesus for saying this but He escaped. More people came to believe in Jesus as the Messiah. Jesus raises Lazarus who had been dead for four days.

    The Jewish leaders were looking to kill Jesus; Jesus asks the crowd why are they trying to kill Him? Jesus asks they why are they angry at Him for healing sick and suffering people on the Sabbath? The Jewish religious leaders tried to arrest Jesus but they could not lay a han on him because Jesus's time to die to pay for our sins had not yet come; the crowds were conflicted about whether or not Jesus was the Messiah; The teachers of the law and Pharisees brought a woman caught in adultry to Jesus and tell Him the law of Moses commanded to stone such women. What did Jesus have to say? Jesus replied "Let anyone of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her." They left with nothing to say. Jesus said in public He is the light of the world and gives life. This caused a big public argument between Jesus and the Pharisees about who Jesus is. Jesus said multiple times in the argument that God the Father sent Him and ended the argument by stating "Very truly I tell you, before Abraham was born, I Am!" By saying this, Jesus proclaimed to the Pharisees that He is God.
