The lesson focuses on biblical accounts where lions represent adversity and how individuals found strength through their faith in God. **Key biblical examples discussed:** David: He drew upon his past experiences of God's protection against a lion and a bear to gain confidence when facing the giant *Goliath* (6:45 - 8:42). Baniah: He demonstrates that faith may involve going through a "pit" or a difficult situation, trusting God for victory within it rather than just avoidance (11:46 - 12:56). Psalm 22: This passage reflects on feeling surrounded by opposition, prophetically pointing toward the endurance of *Jesus Christ* and the ultimate triumph of God (13:40 - 15:57). Paul: Despite being forsaken by others, he found strength in the Lord’s presence, highlighting that God remains with us even when circumstances seem dire (17:25 - 19:30). Isaiah's Prophecy: The lesson concludes with a vision of future peace, where creation is restored and the "lion" of danger is transformed under the reign of the Messiah (22:04 - 24:55). The lesson emphasizes that while we may face "roaring" problems, our response should be rooted in the victory of *Jesus Christ*, the "Lion of the tribe of Judah" (25:57 - 26:50). Biblical lion imagery across Scripture (David, Benaiah, Psalm 22, Paul, Isaiah) as a framework for facing life's spiritual battles Distinguishing Satan's roar from actual power, using 1 Peter 5:8 as the anchor text Faith vs. Arrogance: crediting God's past deliverance as the source of present courage Isaiah's prophetic vision of ultimate peace under Christ's reign as the endpoint of the "lion" narrative **Websites & Communities:** [The Greater Purpose](www.the-greater-purpose.com) [The Cubs Room](www.thecubsroom.com) – Chicago Cubs fans unite!
