In this message, we explore the imagery of the Potter and the clay from Jeremiah 18, discovering that God is not waiting for our perfection but inviting our surrender. Prayer places our lives on the Potter’s wheel, where God shapes, refines, and repurposes us according to His will.
This sermon challenges the tendency to disqualify ourselves because of past failures and reminds us that God’s calling was never an accident. Long before we felt ready—or willing—God had already considered our story, our weaknesses, and our potential.
As we reflect on dangerous prayers, we learn that prayer is not just about asking God to bless our plans, but about surrendering our gifts, our plans, and our story to His governance.
