Part coaching session. Heart love story. Part confession.

This is not a podcast about having the answers.

  • The Day I Met Him Episode 2 - The Lisa Smart Chronicles
    May 3 2026

Everyone has a love story they tell.

And then they have the one they actually lived.

For years, Lisa Smart has told the story of the day she met her husband the same way. Almost cinematic. The kind of story that makes people sigh and say--that is exactly hell is supposed to happen.

But there is a version of this story she has never told.

The version where she almost didn't show up that morning. Where the man who changed her life came with four children, a complicated history, and a question that asked more of her then she was ready to answer. Where she said yes--completely, genuinely, with her whole heart--before she fully understood what yes was going to cost her.

In episode 2 of The Lisa Smart Chronicles, Lisa opens the diary on her love story. She talks about the woman she was before him--self-sufficient, self-protected, and very good at not needing anyone. She talks about the Saturday morning everything changed, and the small act of kindness that cracked her walls open. She talks about what it really means to choose someone whose life is bigger and louder and more complicated than anything you planned for.

And somewhere between the romance and the reflection--if you are paying attention--you will notice the things she is not saying.

Because this is a love story. A real one.

And real love stories always have chapters the narrator isn't ready to read yet.

    In this episode:

    1. The woman Lisa was before love found her--and why her walls were so convincing

    2. The Saturday morning she almost missed in the moment and stopped her

    3. Four children, a full life, and a yes she didn't fully understand

    4. The difference between not being ready and not being willing

    5. Three things her love story tell her about commitment, family, and honest need

    6. Why some of her boxes are still sealed--and what the really means

    7. This week's reflection question

  • Why I Became A Life Coach episode 1 - The Lisa Smart Chronicles
    May 1 2026

Everyone assumes I became a life coach because I had it all figured out.

The truth is - I became one because I was completely falling apart and needed someone to talk to. So I became her.

In the very first episode of The Lisa Smart Chronicles, I'm opening the diary for the first time - and I'm starting where every honest story has to start. At the beginning. The real one. Not the bio. Not the brand. Not the version that looks good in a caption.

This episode is about the night I sat in a parking lot at 9:00 p.m. on a Tuesday - with a perfect-looking life, a full calendar, and absolutely nothing left inside - and made a decision that changed everything.

We talked about what a life coach actually does versus what people think we do. We talked about the difference between being heels and being honest. And we talked about the things nobody tells you when you build a career out of helping other people - that somewhere in all that giving, you can forget to give to yourself.

This is episode 1. This is where it starts.

And if you have ever held yourself together for everyone else while quietly coming apart at the seams - this is for you.

    In this episode:

    1. The parking lot night that changed everything

    2. What a life coach actually does-and doesn't do

    3. Why you don't need to be healed to help people-you needs to be honest

    4. The dangerous habit of pouring until everyone else while running on empty

    5. This week reflection question
