  • Why Slowing Down Might Be Making Your Burnout Worse

    You have been told to slow down. Tone it down. Want a little less, push a little less, and maybe then you will finally feel better. And if you have ever tried that and felt worse, not better, you are not imagining it.

    Here is what that advice misses. Intensity is not inherently dysregulating. Misalignment is. And menopause doesn't lower your capacity for drive. It lowers your tolerance for pushing in the wrong direction. The crash comes faster now. The recovery takes longer. And it is very easy to look at that and think your ambition is the problem, when what has actually happened is the misalignment you used to be able to override has caught up with you.

    This one is worth a listen before you make yourself smaller to fit a framework that was never built for how you actually work.
