About this listen

The Night Librarian is a serialized horror podcast that follows Luna, a solitary archivist in a vast, candlelit library where every book is a door to another world — and every door has a lock. By night, she pushes a wooden trolley through aisles of stained-glass moonlight, cataloging tomes that whisper, bleed, and sometimes breathe. But a pattern emerges: certain books share a recurring symbol — a brass key stamped with an unfamiliar sigil — and each one describes a different town that has vanished from every map. As Luna traces the threads between these lost places, she uncovers a conspiracy of erasure that reaches into her own memory. The stories she reads aloud are the records of those towns: the librarian who saw too much, the child who drew what no child should see, the festival that ended in silence. Each episode advances her investigation while deepening the mystery of what lies beyond the locked door at the end of the north aisle. The key around her neck is the only one that might open it — if she dares to turn it. The Night Librarian is a slow-burn descent into the spaces between stories, where the shelves are longer than the building, and the building is older than the town it stands in. Some books are not meant to be read aloud. But Luna reads them anyway.

  • The Eighth Night and the Ink in Her Veins — Fexingo Horror
    May 9 2026
Luna stands in the circular library, ink from her own unwritten book rising dark through the veins of her arm. The iron ring on her finger pulses with heat, and the scarred other Luna watches from the glass. The manuscript on the locked desk is no longer dated tomorrow—it's dated tonight. Every word Luna reads rewrites itself to match what she does next. She tries to pull her hand from the page, but the ink holds her. The older Luna presses a hand to the glass and mouths a single word: 'Burn.' But the iron door behind Luna swings open on its own, and beyond it is not the corridor she came from—it's a long, narrow room lined with books that are all identical. Each one has the same title: 'The Eighth Night.' And when Luna looks down at the manuscript again, the ink has formed a new sentence: 'You have already turned the page.' Luna cannot feel her fingers anymore.

  • The Seventh Night and the Mirror's Hunger — Fexingo Horror
    May 8 2026
Luna steps through the mirror and finds herself in a version of the library she has never seen — one where every book is already written, and every ending is final. The brass key, now an iron ring, pulls her toward a locked desk in the center of a circular room. Inside is a manuscript in her own handwriting, dated tomorrow. As she reads, the words rewrite themselves to match her movements. The other Luna appears in the reflection of the desk's glass top, but she is older, more tired, and has a scar across her throat. She speaks in a voice that is barely a whisper: 'You have to stop reading. You have to burn it.' But the iron ring won't let her let go. Luna realizes the library is feeding on the story it forces her to write, and the only way out is to finish a sentence she has never started. The episode ends with Luna's hand touching the page, and the ink bleeding upward into her skin.

  • The Sixth Night and the Other Luna’s Secret — Fexingo Horror
    May 7 2026
Still clutching the open book, Luna faces her double, whose prophecy of doom hangs in the air. The other Luna reveals that this library is a living entity, once a woman condemned to house every story ever told. At her touch, the brass key reforms into a simple iron ring, and she offers Luna a choice: leave forever, or stay and become the next library. But when Luna tries to step away, she finds the corridor has folded into a loop, and the iron door now stands behind her, not ahead. A whisper from the shadows speaks her name—the first time the library itself has addressed her directly. This episode deepens the central dread of predestination versus free will, and ends with Luna standing in a room of mirrors, each reflection showing a different version of her story, only one of which leads out.
