The Paranormal Rundown is a sometimes humorous, sometimes serious, and sometimes astounding exploration of a wide variety of paranormal topics. From ghosts to bigfoot to aliens, we discuss it all! A random algorithm chooses the topic from a huge list we have specially created, and off we go! The hosts of the show are Vic Hermanson, the highly intelligent and creative host of the Trailer Trash Terrors podcast; Father Michael Birdsong, a priest and exorcist for the Charismatic Episcopal Church and author of the book Becoming a House of Prayer, and David Griffith, a long time paranormal investigator. For many shows we have a guest join us, bringing extra experiences and stories to the table. Come join us as we take a stroll through the wacky universe in which we live!

Ep. 57 – George Anthony on Aliens, Demons, Suicide, Freemasonry & More

    Welcome to The Paranormal Rundown!

The Gang of Nerds managed to pull together for a mid-break episode—minus Randy, whom I’m sure is somewhere following very large footprints through the forest—and this time we’re joined by our good friend George Anthony.

You may have heard George on other episodes of Vic’s Trailer Trash Terrors or Fr. Mike’s Ending the Curse. He also previously hosted his own podcast, The Saint Elias Report. George is a deeply faithful Maronite Catholic who has spent a lifetime researching the demonic.

We’ll have him back in the future for a deeper dive into that research, but this episode is more of an off-the-cuff theological conversation covering the traditional understanding of the spiritual implications of suicide, whether aliens could actually be demons, and a special **Dungeon Talk** on Freemasonry.

Along the way, we get into salvation and works, whether angels have wings, prison ministry, the unforgivable sin, and quite a bit more.

This one runs a little heavier on theology than some of our episodes, but there are few people more passionate about these subjects than George.

Our summer-ish break is almost over. Be on the lookout for Season 4 beginning in October. As you can probably tell from this conversation, the break is almost as difficult on us as it is on you. We promise to get back to regular episodes soon, and we already have some great guests lining up so stay tuned!

  • Ep. 055 - Sylvia Shults: The Disembodied Doorman
    Jul 7 2026

Ep 55 - Sylvia Shults shares ghostly experiences at Billy Creek Village, Whispers Estate, the Villisca Axe Murder House, and discusses other paranormal topics.

    Welcome to The Paranormal Rundown!

For our final episode of season 3, Sylvia Shults joins us for more entertaining stories and discussions on the paranormal. Sylvia's latest book, Gone on Vacation: Endless Summer, details haunted museums, zoos, amusement parks, and other perfect paranormal vacation spots across the country. She tells us about some of the shenanigans experienced at the Civil War House at Billy Creek Village, where an unseen doorman taunts investigators by opening and closing doors. She also shares a video from Whispers Estate showing a door opening on its own, which we include in this episode. Other topics include mushrooms that make you see little men, Wendigo and cannibalism, psychic vampires, the impact of AI on our perception of the paranormal, memento mori, the Villisca Axe Murder House, Randonautica, and more. We always have a good time when Sylvia is able to join us!

Jake also joins us on this one, lending his analytical skills and healthy skepticism as always!

The Gang of Nerds will be taking a break for the rest of the summer. We will begin recording again in August, and hope to have new episodes out in September. • Ep. 056 - Ryan Kralik: Cancelled by the Substrate!
    Jun 10 2026

Ep 56 - Ryan Kralik performs a Remote Viewing Session and discusses Emergence of Consciousness, Alien Minds, UFOs, and more.

    Welcome to The Paranormal Rundown!

For this episode, Ryan Kralik joins us once again to discuss more paranormal concepts through the lens of his Information-First framework of consciousness and reality. This episode also features a real-world remote viewing session, where Ryan attempts to describe a target selected by the hosts—with some unexpectedly interesting results. Not only is Ryan now a published author, but he is also now the managing editor of Aperture Magazine! And no, not the one about photography...

This is also our very first video episode, so be sure to let us know what you think of the new format!

This marks Ryan's third appearance on the show. Ironically, the second appearance may have been one of the best conversations we've ever recorded... except for one small problem: somebody forgot to hit the record button. But not to worry, Avalon has been punishing the guilty party mercilessly ever since.

Ryan's take was a bit different. He suggested that perhaps the Substrate itself had intervened, feeling that his performance that evening was sub-par because he was extremely tired. Personally, I never noticed any lack of energy, and the Gang of Nerds unanimously agreed that it was a fantastic discussion. But apparently the Substrate disagreed...

If you ever wanted to see what Remote Viewing was really like, this episode is for you. Ryan asked that we pick a simple target, put some pictures in an envelope, and he would do his best. Of course I ignored all those instructions, and made it overly complex! But the results are really interesting, I think the complexity actually gave us the opportunity to flesh out how this process really works. Additionally, we discuss alien minds and how we would communicate with them, which naturally led into a brief discussion on AI. We also talk about Emergent Consciousness, UFOs being similar to meditation pods, and the Visions of Prophets, all viewed within the context of an Information-First view of Consciousness and Reality. Enjoy!

We have one more episode planned for this season, another wonderful discussion with the lively Sylvia Shults, then we break for the summer. While you are waiting, why don't you send us your thoughts on the video format, the guests we have had in Season 3, or any other unrelated rabbit holes you would like to go down, at feedback@paranormalrundown.com
