In today’s world, we are more isolated than ever. The dominant worldview is shaped by materialism and a loss of meaning. A mechanistic view of nature harms and exploits the Earth. This reductive worldview excludes the Sacred. At the same time, the majority of the world’s population identify with a religion.
Built upon the accumulated knowledge of ten World Assemblies held since 1970 and numerous interreligious collaborative efforts, Shared Sacred Flourishing is a framework that invites us to rediscover a common sacred lens which aligns our work towards a vision of flourishing, compassion, justice, and care for a wounded world.
Episode 1 of the Religions for Peace introduces Shared Sacred Flourishing. The podcast is intended for religious leaders around the world committed to interreligious action for peace.
