About this listen

Genesis released their first single 50 years ago! 50 years! So to celebrate Simon made his friend Gary listen to all the Genesis albums in order and then review them in the local pub, commonly known as The Revelation Station. What will Gary think? Will they stay friends? Is the beer here any good? The answer to these questions will probably be revealed.Simon Heldreich & Gary Starr Art Music Performing Arts Stand-up Shows

  • Christmas Special 2025: Yule Never Walk Alone
    Dec 24 2025

New Universe. New Iceland. Same Old Chaos.

After narrowly escaping the total destruction of their own reality, multiversal refugees Simon and Gary are looking for a little holiday R&R. Simon thinks he’s found the perfect hideaway: a remote, luxury spa retreat in the frozen wilds of Iceland. It’s supposed to be four days of peace, quiet, and getting away from it all.

But the locals aren’t the only ones watching them.

When ancient Icelandic folklore crashes into their "borrowed" lives, the duo finds themselves hunted by the thirteen Yule Lads, mischievous trolls with a taste for more than just Skyr and stolen spoons. From stinky cheese-filled luggage to high-speed skidoo chases across the tundra, Simon and Gary must outrun a supernatural curse that was never meant for them.

They survived the end of the world… but can they survive a traditional Icelandic Christmas?

Merry Christmas and thanks for listening to this episode. If you’ve enjoyed this podcast you can donate the price of a coffee to help run the website by clicking this link. All donations are gratefully received and give you access to 10 exclusive minisodes only available to people who donate.

  • Lamb Stew: Behind The Lines Episode 5
    Nov 21 2025

    Greetings Behind the Liners!
In this episode I finally get around to reviewing the 50th Anniversary Box Set of The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway. Like the boxset itself this review was delayed, apologies for that. Also I recorded it in a different room than usual so the sound quality is a bit echoey, I’ll sort that out for next time I promise.
Anyhow, find out what I think of this release and, more importantly, what I think could have been included by listening with your ears. There are some links below to things I mentioned in the episode, hope you enjoy them.
