    Feb 27 2026

Their Flight Is Terminal. Their Landing Optional.

Buckle up for a high-altitude comedy of errors where the safety announcement is the least of your concerns. When Gary and Simon board a bargain flight to Los Angeles, they quickly realize they are the only real people on a plane chartered by a rowdy convention of celebrity impersonators. The journey takes a terrifyingly hilarious turn when an unexpected crisis leaves the cockpit empty and the bing-bong machine broken.

With the cockpit door locked and the mature aircraft beginning its descent, Gary, armed with 1,500 hours of flight simulator experience, must step up to save the day. But navigating a disaster isn't easy when you're surrounded by so-called stars who are a little too in character, a disgruntled hijacker with an axe to grind, and a literal, impatient Grim Reaper waiting in the aisles.

From arguments over the flavor of in-flight crisps to a desperate attempt to break into the cockpit using a magic wand, Gary and Simon must face their inevitable end with a touch of wit and a lot of luck. Can this unlikely duo pull off a landing they can walk away from, or is their flight path truly terminal?

  • Christmas Special 2025: Yule Never Walk Alone
    Dec 24 2025

New Universe. New Iceland. Same Old Chaos.

After narrowly escaping the total destruction of their own reality, multiversal refugees Simon and Gary are looking for a little holiday R&R. Simon thinks he’s found the perfect hideaway: a remote, luxury spa retreat in the frozen wilds of Iceland. It’s supposed to be four days of peace, quiet, and getting away from it all.

But the locals aren’t the only ones watching them.

When ancient Icelandic folklore crashes into their "borrowed" lives, the duo finds themselves hunted by the thirteen Yule Lads, mischievous trolls with a taste for more than just Skyr and stolen spoons. From stinky cheese-filled luggage to high-speed skidoo chases across the tundra, Simon and Gary must outrun a supernatural curse that was never meant for them.

They survived the end of the world… but can they survive a traditional Icelandic Christmas?

Merry Christmas and thanks for listening to this episode. If you’ve enjoyed this podcast you can donate the price of a coffee to help run the website by clicking this link. All donations are gratefully received and give you access to 10 exclusive minisodes only available to people who donate.

  • Lamb Stew: Behind The Lines Episode 5
    Nov 21 2025

    Greetings Behind the Liners!
In this episode I finally get around to reviewing the 50th Anniversary Box Set of The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway. Like the boxset itself this review was delayed, apologies for that. Also I recorded it in a different room than usual so the sound quality is a bit echoey, I’ll sort that out for next time I promise.
Anyhow, find out what I think of this release and, more importantly, what I think could have been included by listening with your ears. There are some links below to things I mentioned in the episode, hope you enjoy them.

  • When Tony Met Derek: Behind The Lines Episode 4
    Oct 3 2025

    Well hello there!
Have I got something a bit different for you? Yes. Yes I have.
In this very special episode I’m joined by Craig and Mezza from the Planet Marzipan podcast. Who are they you ask? Well, they are the hosts of both Planet Marzipan (a Marillion podcast) and Planet Music (a…music…podcast), but they are here in their capacity as Marillion fans to talk about the three collaborations between our very own Tony Banks and their very own Derek Dick, or Fish to his friends.
This is a great chat about all things Fish, Genesis and Tony. If you enjoy this then check out their podcast for a different take on the episode.

  • Suited & Booted: Behind The Lines Episode 3
    Sep 26 2025

    Hello there listeners!
Welcome to this review of the recently release No Jacket Required (Fully Tailored) boxset. Join me (Simon) as I tell you what I think of it, what the quality is like, how the mixes sound etc etc. I also use the word “box” far too much for my liking.
If you want to get hold of a copy, it’s still available on vinyl and blu-ray from the good people at Burning Shed who we are not sponsored by but I am open to offers.
I also released a YouTube unboxing video which you can find here. If you’re interested our original No Jacket Required review from way back in 2022 is here and I also reviewed a different version of We Said Hello Goodbye here.
