• Reading the Jewish Bible! Genesis: 11-20
    Nov 29 2025

My study of Judaism begins with an English translation of the Tanakh (the Jewish Bible). I’m not making an audio book so expect some stuttering, stammering, and mispronunciations. I’m also commenting on points of interest as I come across them. I appreciate any feedback you may have while I work my way through it.

For anyone interested this is the translation I am reading: https://amzn.to/3KkJef7

Thanks for swimming in these deep waters with me!

  • The Quran: in English and in Order Chapters 41-45
    Nov 21 2025

This is the 3rd installment of my reading the Quran / Qur'an / Koran in chronological order (the order the suras were revealed to Muhammad). After trying multiple english translations I found that I couldn't follow it well without the context that you get with it in proper order. I found an outstanding translation given in the order of revelation. I HIGHLY recommend Jason Criss Howk's The Qur'an: A Chronological Modern English Interpretation for both those who are unfamiliar with Islam, and for Muslims who don't speak Arabic so they can read the words for themselves. You can find it at https://oldstonepress.com/library/quran/ .I'm doing this to learn the truth about the religion itself. I'm not claiming the words to be truth or fiction. Expect a bit of stuttering, stumbling, and mispronunciations as this isn't sponsored by anyone and a perfect "audio book" reading would be quite time consuming lolJoin in the conversation!New Finding My God Discord: https://discord.gg/7U7kZZdPyS0:36 Chapter 41 (One of the prophet's names)8:56 Chapter 42 (The Criterion)18:55 Chapter 43 (The Originator of Angels)26:43 Chapter 44 (Mary)37:57 Chapter 45 (Ta Ha)

  • What is Islam? Islam for Dummies 5 (the End)
    Nov 19 2025

This is the final part of my reading of the the Islam section of the World Religions All-In-One for Dummies book. The Muslim religion of Islam is the first of my deep dives into all of the major world religions. As I finish each section/each religion I will give my takeaways on what I agree with, what doesn't align with me, and what if anything I directly disagree with. If you want to check the book out yourself there is a link below. As always I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments. (At least have listened to some of the video before responding tho lol)

Thanks for swimming these deep waters with me!
