  • Is La Liga a Farmer League? Yamal Hype Debate | EP 13
    Oct 15 2026

Matt says La Liga is a farmer league that turns average Premier League players into superstars. Beato and Ulysses say he has not watched enough Barcelona. For twenty minutes, nobody backs down.

In this episode: Ronaldo rage quits Portugal after warming up for thirty minutes without getting on, and the group splits on whether the ego or the manager is to blame. Spurs draw 1 to 1 with Man United despite a red card and a stoppage time Solanke equalizer. Matt argues De Zerbi deserves this season and next, since Spurs dominate every game and still cannot finish, and they have not won a penalty since Harry Kane left almost two years ago. Real Madrid beat Villarreal 1 to 0 with Vinicius Jr. sent off, and the group cannot get over how he lost his mind. Then the main event. Matt says Raphinha, Gordon and Rashford only look world class against weaker opposition, and claims Swansea would beat the bottom ten teams in La Liga. Beato and Ulysses push back on Yamal, Frimpong at Liverpool and what really makes a transfer work. Matt calls the Ballon d’Or rigged if Harry Kane does not win it, and Ulysses says it is Yamal’s. In the Champions League, Barcelona come back to beat Galatasaray 4 to 1 with two Yamal assists, Lisandro Martinez calls out Man United after Atletico win 2 to 0, Inter lose 4 to 3 at Club Brugge, and Viking hold Bayern to a 3 to 3 draw.

Is Yamal a generational talent, or a product of a weaker league? Tell us where you land.

Back next week with Barcelona against PSG, El Clásico around the corner, and the Premier League.

  • Spurs Crisis and Deadline Day Madness | EP 12
    Sep 1 2026

Spurs spent 413 million this summer, sit bottom of the Premier League, and have not won at home since the final day of last season. Matt, Beato and Ulysses spend ten minutes on whether that club is broken, badly run, or genuinely cursed.

In this episode: deadline day closes with roughly 2.2 billion spent across Europe, Chelsea alone near 476 million, Bradley Barcola moving to Liverpool for 140 million, Ollie Watkins finally forcing his way out of Aston Villa, Man City lodging a 120 million euro bid for Enzo Fernández, Jack Grealish heading back to Everton and Rafael Leão off to Galatasaray. Liverpool get held at Nottingham Forest in a game Matt watched at six thirty in the morning, and the verdict is a side that still has no settled midfield, a right back offering nothing going forward and a goalkeeper who gave away a penalty with a reckless clear. Hull City sit in the top four while Coventry lose a game they controlled, and Matt cannot get over the empty seats in their first season back in twenty five years. Spurs lose at home to Newcastle and the group splits on whether it is mentality, pressure or a curse, with Matt arguing a European trophy outranks a league title and Beato and Ulysses telling him he is smoking crack. Chelsea keep outscoring a defence that gets caught with its pants down. Bruno Fernandes gets a hat trick that Beato calls the most lackluster he has ever seen, and Matt begs United to let Marcus Rashford go. In LaLiga the group digs into Sevilla's collapse and whether Spain's financial rules have permanently lost the league its argument with the Premier League, before Raphinha, Lamine Yamal, Xavi Espart and Anthony Gordon put Barcelona back on top.

Are Spurs still a big six club, or is that just a name they stopped earning years ago?

Back Monday with Arsenal against Chelsea, Barcelona against Valencia, and the Champions League draw we ran out of time for.

  • Spurs Collapse, Barcelona Look Scary | EP 11
    Aug 25 2026

Spurs opened the season with a performance Matt called flat out terrifying, going down at home to a Brentford side that outclassed them from start to finish. Meanwhile Barcelona put on a statement display at the other end of the spectrum, cruising past Elche and setting off alarm bells for the rest of La Liga.

In this episode: Matt, Beato, and Ulysses break down a chaotic opening weekend across Europe. Arsenal made a statement with a routine win over Coventry, but Spurs could not have looked more different, falling behind after a defensive mixup from Lucas Bergwall and never recovering. The hosts dig into whether the mentality issue at Spurs runs deeper than personnel, and debate who should start at number ten once James Madison is fully fit. Man United fared even worse, losing away to Hull City's Tigers off two set piece goals, which was enough to crown United the inaugural Clown of the Week ahead of Spurs and Aston Villa. Man City needed a stoppage time goal to scrape past Bournemouth, while Aston Villa were taken apart by Brighton, with the Ollie Watkins bench situation drawing plenty of heat. Liverpool ground out a late penalty win over Newcastle that the hosts felt papered over a sloppy performance. The back half of the show shifts to Spain, where Barcelona put five past Elche with a standout Champions League level performance from Gavi's replacement in midfield.

Who do you think deserves the Clown of the Week trophy more, Man United or Aston Villa? Let us know in the comments.

  • Our 2026/27 Premier League Predictions | EP 10
    Aug 21 2026

The Premier League kicks off this weekend and Ulysses, Matt, and Beato are calling every single spot in the table before a ball is kicked. From the club they think breaks the record for fewest points ever, all the way up to who lifts the trophy in May, nothing is off limits.

In this episode, the guys work through the whole 2026/27 table tier by tier. Hull City get written off early as a near lock for last place, with the trio debating whether Coventry or Ipswich joins them in the bottom three. Nottingham Forest, Leeds, and Crystal Palace get argued over for the survival zone, with Matt making the case that Forest's poor start last season masked a strong finish. Newcastle's brutal summer sell off gets its own extended section after losing Bruno Guimaraes, Sandro Tonali, Anthony Gordon, and Kieran Trippier in one window. Fulham comes under fire for losing both top scorers Harry Wilson and Raul Jimenez while handing the reins to a first time manager in Marco Arbeloa. On the other end, Everton's business under David Moyes gets praised as some of the best in the league, and the guys spend serious time on Tottenham, breaking down a defense built around Micky van de Ven and Pedro Porro before finally locking in their top five, including a heated back and forth over who actually wins the title.

Where do you have your club finishing this season? Let us know in the comments.

  • Spurs' Spending Spree, Top Six Debate | EP 9
    Jul 28 2026

Tottenham go on the wildest spending spree in years, six new signings and counting, and Ulysses, Matt, and Beato spend nearly half the show arguing whether it's enough to still call Spurs a true top six club. Kulusevski's long injury nightmare gets an update, and the transfer gossip stretches across the Premier League before the guys turn it over to Barcelona.

In this episode: Chelsea's rebuild with Morgan Rogers arriving and Garnacho shipped out on loan to Aston Villa, Crysencio Summerville's exit to Saudi Arabia, Manchester United bringing in Youri Tielemans and Andrey Santos, and Tottenham's aggressive summer under the league's new financial rules. The trio breaks down what actually makes a club "top six" and whether Spurs still qualify after back to back seventeenth place finishes. Then it's over to Barcelona: Bernardo Silva's move to Real Madrid, the Anthony Gordon and Adeyemi signings, how Barca's business compares to Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid, and a full position by position look at the squad heading into the season.

Do you still see Tottenham as a top six club? Let us know your take.

  • Spain Break Messi's Heart | EP 8
    Jul 21 2026

The 2026 World Cup is over. Spain are champions of the world, and Messi's shot at a second trophy ends one goal short. Ulysses and Beato react to the final while it's still fresh.

    In this episode:

The suffocating Spain press that left Messi with just 15 touches in the first half. Ferran Torres writing his name into Spanish football history 39 seconds into extra time, and why that goal means more for him than anyone. Argentina's meltdown: two red cards, injuries forcing early subs, and a first shot that didn't come until the 115th minute. Rodri's golden ball, Unai Simon silencing the doubters with seven clean sheets, and Cubarsi putting up a young player of the tournament run that has us asking where his ceiling is. Plus Messi's future, whether this loss touches his legacy, Mbappe's path to the all time throne, Zidane taking over France, and Trump refusing to leave the trophy stage.

Was this final a masterclass or a snoozefest? Let us know your take.

Next Monday: our full World Cup review. The whole tournament, best moments, biggest flops, all of it.
