• Episode Two: Ashley Coen
    Jun 1 2026

You can move across the country, change careers, become a parent and still keep your sense of self, but only if you build the right support around you.

Sarah Henderson Daugherty from United Way of Northeast Florida sits down with Ashley Coen, a former LA marketing executive, current mom of two and wife of Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Liam Coen, to talk about what it really takes to start fresh in a new city and not disappear inside someone else’s job title.

Ashley shares her story of growing up “from a little bit of everywhere,” how mentors shaped her work ethic and why Jacksonville instantly felt like a rare mix of beach-town ease and genuine Southern kindness.

The conversation also goes deeper into women’s health and leadership. Ashley opens up about postpartum anxiety, why it often goes unnamed and how honest conversations with friends can be the difference between suffering quietly and getting support. She also reflects on career lessons from advertising, entrepreneurship and advocating for other women through mentorship and pay transparency, especially in male-dominated spaces like football.

    Mar 12 2026

The first episode of The Y Factor features podcast namesake Pam Y. Paul and her daughter Pam D. Paul interviewed by United Way of Northeast Florida CEO Melanie Patz.

Pam Y. Paul is a trailblazing advocate and longtime supporter of United Way. Since moving to Jacksonville in 1959, Pam has dedicated her life to expanding opportunities for women, children, and families in the community. She was United Way’s first female board chair and went on to lead a record-breaking $14 million campaign. Her pioneering leadership — from co-founding Jacksonville’s first referral hotline to serving as the city’s Children’s Liaison — reflects her ongoing commitment to the region. Pam’s work demonstrates the power of service, leadership and lasting impact, inspiring generations of women leaders to follow in her footsteps.

Her daughter Pam D. Paul is a philanthropist and community advocate in her own right. She currently serves as the Executive Vice President for the Jacksonville Public Education Fund, working to close the opportunity gap for children in Duval County by building the capacity of educators and parents.
