Good morning and welcome to another episode of Thinking Out Loud with Pastor-D! Please join us as we discuss the Sunday sermon at Coast Life Church.

We'll begin the podcast discussing Pastor-D's sticky handshakes and beard-smelling technique. Then we'll hear about the grand conspiracy that trapped GrandPastor-D in the rehabilitation unit out at the VA so he couldn't come to Church. We'll also touch on the death of Scott Adams and remind everyone about the dangers of taking a pragmatic approach to our faith.

We'll then discuss truth, what it is and why it is required in order to receive God's grace in our lives. Pastor-D will also tell us about the dangers of overemphasizing grace and risking the avoidance of recognizing the sin involved with experiencing that grace. Additionally, he'll tell us how to let go of guilt when we've been fortunate enough to experience grace.

We'll talk about the woman who committed adultery and how, sometimes, we should consider the perspective of the woman rather than the crowd. Pastor-D will also tell us how he believes that Jesus may have been set up in that situation.

Finally, we'll discuss anger and rage. We'll talk about how quick we are to experience anger and rage and how to slow our emotional response so that our anger doesn't jump out in front of everything.

Hi and welcome to Thinking Out Loud with Pastor-D! Please join us as we discuss this week's sermon at Coast Life Church...and other things.

We'll open this week with an update on GrandPastor-D and his progress through his hip surgery. He's actually expected to make an appearance at Church this week!

We'll then get deep in the woods with some listener questions. First, we'll address the role of our spirituality in helping us to recover from mental illnesses such as anxiety and depression. Then we'll address the question of whether belief in God as a pragmatic approach to the afterlife is something that will get us into Heaven. Finally, we'll discuss the political violence around the US, why it's occurring and what Jesus would do in these situations.

Our sermon this week was about being like Jesus. We'll investigate how to be like Jesus not only in how we behave, but how we go about our daily lives. We'll also discuss the "rules" that Jesus left for us and why some people have such a hard time believing that they can follow them.

We'll then ask Pastor-D about why he thought Jesus was "hangry" and how we should interpret his actions in cursing the fig tree.

Finally, we'll talk about how lonely it must have been for Jesus when he lost connection with God and was bearing the burden of our sins at the same time. Pastor-D will tell us what the most important example that Jesus left for us and how we should use that example in our own lives.

Hello and welcome to another episode of Thinking Out Loud with Pastor-D! Please join us as we delve into a new sermon series entitled: Build Your Life.

We begin this week with an update on GrandPastor-D and his recovery from surgery. Then we'll compare a kingdom to a democratic republic and try to decide what Jesus would say to us when we go to vote.

We will then go into a couple of listener questions about Jesus' love for those who are NOT saved and whether telling the truth is more important than maintaining harmony. Also, we'll discuss where the line is between preserving harmony and being righteous.

Pastor-D will then contrast the differences in "trying harder" and "enjoying more," and show us how these two things are not the opposite of each other. He'll also tell us how to ensure that we are not trying harder at the wrong things.

Finally, we'll discuss how significant the presence of God is in Heaven with us. We'll discuss how to relate that to those who may not be saved and how to NOT measure God's love for us in terms of what we have or what we get in this life.

Hello and welcome to another episode of Thinking Out Loud with Pastor-D! Please join us as we do a deep dive into our Church's most recent sermon: Angel's Song - Favor Rests.

We'll begin with a review of Pastor-D's most recent hunting trip. Then he'll update on GrandPastor-D and his progress in healing from a broken hip. We'll talk about modern-day billionaires and see what Jesus would think about a handful of people in the world holding the vast majority of wealth and power. We'll also get some clarification on a previous question Joe asked about God's glory.

As we begin with the sermon, Pastor-D will tell us about the different ways that God provide favor to us and how some people have issues believing that they are favored simply because bad things happen to them from time to time. He'll also clear us up on why the Bible tells us to face reality when we know that favor and peace are with us.

Pastor-D will then delve into the question of the day: when receiving God's favor, why do we focus so much on outcomes rather than simply requesting his presence?

We'll learn what "declaring" God's favor means and what it looks like when someone receives God's favor consistently.

As a bonus, Pastor-D will give us some information about the "lost" gospels that didn't make it into the Bible and where we can find some accurate information about the times and happenings of the days that aren't necessarily listed in the Bible.

Hello and welcome to Thinking Out Loud with Pastor-D! Please join us for this Christmas-week edition of a podcast dedicated to exploring the weekly sermons at Coast Life Church!

This week is the culmination of our Christmas sermon series entitled, "Angels' Song." In this edition, Pastor-D opens up giving us an update on his dad. He'll also tell us about his frustration with life in the last day or two and how his sermon rang true in his own life this week.

We'll discuss attendance at large gatherings and the things that have happened in recent weeks with the terror attacks by Muslims across the globe. We'll also talk about why God promises us peace but how it seems that we never seem to see it. We'll talk about what God's peace looks like for us and how his peace doesn't always align with ours.

We'll talk about adhering to the rules that God has set forth for us and how, sometimes, a rule to someone may not be a rule to someone else. Finally, we'll discuss what you should do when God doesn't have the same plans for you that you have for yourself.

Welcome to another episode of Thinking Out Loud with Pastor-D! Please join us as we discuss some of the topics from Sunday's message at Coast Life Church: Angel's Song.

We'll start this week with a couple of listener questions. One about how to get out of over-extending yourself at Christmas-time and the other about why Jesus tells us to focus on God's glory more than any other.

We'll go into God's glory, why it's important and how to ensure that we are glorifying him in the "highest." Pastor-D will then tell us why so many of us seem to be afraid and/or intimidated by God. Additionally, he will tell us what worship will look like in Heaven and what it looks like to worship with passion, desire and obsession. As a bonus, he'll tell us where the food door will be located when we get to Heaven.

Finally, we'll discuss being "still" and what the Bible means when it tells us that sometimes we have to wait in order to get God's answers to our prayers.

As we get into this week's sermon, we'll discuss Mary and Joseph, their individual situations and why they both reacted the way they did to the news of Jesus' arrival. We'll talk about why men were always believed over women back then and what God says about that.

Pastor-D will tell us how our modern-day concept of time was created around the birth of Jesus and why Jewish people don't believe that he is the Messiah.

We'll also discuss the Christmas season, how it can be very stressful for people and what we can do to alleviate that stress.
