This is part 3 of a discussion I have been having with Vickey Young, a disabled woman who is trying to go to get her accommodations to go to law school and the incredible amount of work she has to do to overcome the obstacles she faces to something that is her rights to have. It is shocking that after nearly 40 years after disabled people have fought to have their rights to an education, it is shocking to hear how much ableism she deals with to get her rights.

We had a great discussion with Jess Speer on The 103.3 Asheville FM show Open Air about how we must look at disability now, our new disabled ancestor Judy Heumann the Mother of Disability Rights, and how disability is part of the human experience, like being born and dying.
