From Automobili Lamborghini to Volvo: Drive for Life, there's a long history of racing games based entirely around a single automaker's products—and in some cases, individual cars. Yeah, plenty of them are forgettable, and some are cynical, bargain-bin cash grabs attempting to lure unsuspecting customers to pay to be advertised to, but there have been a few surprising gems over the years. We run through a whole lot of them in this episode, quality be damned.

Our first episode back from our 2025 hiatus explores Nintendo's classic arcade racing series all about boosting and big air. What else could you really say links 1984's Excitebike with its N64 sequel, Excite Truck, and especially Excite Bots on the Wii? In any case, they all certainly bring the excitement, and we'll proudly throw this one on the pile of forgotten racing franchises that Nintendo ought to revisit. Probably not before a proper, new mainline F-Zero and Wave Race, though.
