EPISODE 238 – RENFIELD

“This is Shakespeare to him.” “Thesis of the month is he takes it seriously!”

The Cage Match comes to a close with the least (quantity, not quality) Nicolas Cage we’ve had all month, playing Dracula in the quasi-superhero comedy Renfield! This week, Brian picks his favorite snacking movie; Chris goes on a wolf journey; Brandon wants louder editing; and Ashley gets pulled away (literally).

BTW: Is the Support Group really all that innocent?

Starring: Nicholas Hoult, Awkwafina, Ben Schwartz, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Brandon Scott Jones, Adrian Martinez, Camille Chen, and (of course) Nicolas Cage

Directed by Chris McKay

EPISODE 237 – INTERLUDE: Chris and Brian’s Turn

Uh oh, it’s just Chris and Brian running this week’s interlude! While the adults are busy, the Original Trash Watch Boys talk about some movies we’ve seen recently. MILD SPOILERS for Resident Evil (2026) and Primetime.

EPISODE 236 – NEXT

“This movie should be more fun.”

Our future sight can’t save us from Brian’s entry in the Cage Match: the “technically a Philip K. Dick adaptation” Next! This week, Ashley never wants to go to Vegas; Brandon is always save-scumming; Brian reveals the Liz Lore; and Chris can’t handle the big whoopsie-doodle.

BTW: Another Insane Amazon Review!

Starring: Nicolas Cage, Jessica Biel, Julianne Moore, Thomas Kretschmann, Tory Kittles, Jim Beaver, and Peter Falk

Directed by Lee Tamahori
