Big news! Shat on TV is covering "True Detective" Season 3 on HBO! After a breathtaking Season 1 and lackluster Season 2, "True Detective" is coming back strong, and we're all huge fans.

Find out what why we're excited, and hear what The King Bee discovered during his sneak preview of the first two episodes.

Mahershala Ali will play the lead role of detective Wayne Hays, while Stephen Dorff will play his partner detective Roland West. The season marks show creator Nic Pizzolatto's directorial debut. Jeremy Saulnier and Daniel Sackheim will share in director duties.

Pizzolatto also serves as the showrunner and sole writer of the season, with the exception of the fourth and sixth episode, which he co-wrote with David Milch and Graham Gordy.
