Welcome back! This week, I wanted to chat about a rather personal, but real epiphany I had. As social media takes up more space in our lives, the pressure to always be on or share parts of us is only increasing. For me, that's looked like sharing content, making content and always looking for content. That is, up until the beginning of 2024.

On this episode, I chat about my relationship with making content and social media. This is another episode of me sharing my raw thoughts in real time, but on a topic that has changed the way I've viewed time and change in my life. I hope you enjoy <3 :)

As always, thank you for being here and listening. If you liked this episode, give it a little like and subscribe to this little podcast community :)

  • thoughts from a thought daughter
    Sep 18 2024

Welcome back to yet another episode! Today's episode felt special to record, and even "special-er" to share. A few days ago, I read a quote by Sylvia Plath that felt like the answer to a lot of the dilemmas I've been reflecting on. And so, I grabbed my phone and recorded a few ideas. Now, I have this episode as proof of that very moment.

On this episode, I chat about identity, feeling lost and why we feel so off-center in our mid-twenties. Through it all, life isn't so serious and it's helpful to smile about it. But as someone who is always overthinking (ha ha), it feels good to share these thoughts in hopes that it resonates with someone. And if that someone is you, let me know :)

Thank you for being here and taking the time to listen!

  • are you setting the right goals?
    Aug 21 2024

Welcome back! I wanted to take this week to reflect on a pattern we're all guilty of: goal-setting for the sake of goal-setting.

Over the past few months, I've noticed that the reason my goal setting wasn't effective was because I was setting goals I didn't care about. So I wanted to sit down and share a few things that have helped me set productive goals and really identify the things I'm passionate about.

I hope this feels like a hug, and helps you navigate the expansiveness and confusion that comes with your twenties :)

  • looking for (& finding) community
    Aug 13 2024

Welcome back to the podcast! This week, I wanted to sit down and share with you my epiphanies on finding community and feeling a little less lonely :)

I've come to realize that community is so much bigger than your friends and family. It's the little things in our everyday environment, the people we connect with as we effortlessly go about our day, and those we find in places we frequently visit.

I hope this episode makes you feel a little less lonely, and better yet, more connected with others around you :)

    Sending you a hug :) <3

And so on this episode, I wanted to sit down and just catch up because a lot has changed, a lot is new and a lot of it is very exciting.

It feels so good to be back but I'd love to know what you want to hear me gab about so I can make episodes that feel 10/10. Anyways, I hope this episode finds you and feels like a hug. That's all from me today :)

  • on being a women in STEM (EP RECAP)
    Jan 23 2024

Welcome back to the pod! As we navigate professional growth together, I'm bringing back an episode from last year: on being a woman in STEM! Read the extended description below and I hope it resonates <3

    -----

Join Esha as she discusses her corporate life as a woman in STEM, and how her intersectionality has informed the way she navigates her career. In conventionally male-dominant industries, it can often be intimidating or anxiety-inducing to be in rooms that don’t seem as inviting or fit to support our ambitions as women of color. In this episode, Esha unpacks the best advice she’s gotten from female leaders, how to create a space for yourself and be comfortable with your identity so that your success is rooted in confidence.

As always, reach out to me with questions and if you have experiences like me, let’s have a conversation. Help me help you!

Love you, I hope you find your purpose.

  • imposter syndrome and how we can overcome it
    Jan 9 2024

Welcome to the first episode of 2024! Thank you for tuning into Vol 1 of TOTR in 2024: Our Professional Growth Era.

I wanted to kick-start this "era" by talking about something that we've all felt, seen, experienced: Imposter Syndrome. Regardless of the phase of life we're in, it's so natural to feel like we're lacking in some capacity, not doing enough or that we don't deserve the things we've achieved.

And while I don't need to tell you why we need to overcome this mindset, I thought I'd share a few things that have helped me get over my imposter syndrome.

Here's a few takeaways you'll find in this episode:

    1. Find community and talk about your imposter syndrome. The more you talk about it, the more you realize you're not alone in feeling it, and community is where we thrive.

    2. Stop using the word "imposter syndrome." It's subconsciously doing you more harm than good.

    3. Never. Stop. Learning. The more you learn, the more confident you are in the things you want to achieve.

As always, leave a rating if you enjoyed the episode and thank you for listening in. I appreciate you and see on the next episode!

  • you are more than your anxiety
    Dec 1 2023

Welcome back! We're back with another SOLO EP to close out this week and kickstart this weekend!

The holidays can be a heavy time. As we close out the year and head onto bigger and better things, I wanted to take the time to reflect on thoughts that have shaped my perspective lately. They're heavy, they're abstract, but these reflections have helped me think about the heavy stuff a little differently.

At the end, as we bring December in, I hope this episode helps ease your anxiety, feel comfortable in your skin and remember that you can do whatever you put your mind to <3

As always, hoping this episode is a virtual hug :)
