There are times in life when we are forced to reinvent ourselves. Divorce, loss, menopause, an empty nest, retirement, a career change—or simply realizing that the life that once fit us doesn't anymore—can leave us wondering, "Now what?"

But you aren't starting from scratch.

In this episode of Uncovering Your Inner Power, Jill explores the idea that every new chapter begins with the wisdom and experience of all the chapters that came before it.

You'll hear about the uncomfortable space between who you were and who you're becoming, why outgrowing something doesn't mean it was a mistake, and how letting go of old identities can create room to discover parts of yourself you may not have met yet.

Sometimes reinvention isn't about becoming someone new at all. It may be about becoming more fully yourself.

You don't need to have the entire road mapped out. You're not starting over—you're starting from experience.

  • 067 Always the Strong One? Learning You Don't Have to Carry Everything
    Sep 28 2026

Are you the person everyone turns to when something goes wrong? The dependable one, the caretaker, the fixer—the person who always seems to hold everything together?

Being strong is a beautiful quality. But what happens when strength stops feeling like a choice and starts feeling like a responsibility?

In this episode of Uncovering Your Inner Power, Jill explores what can happen when being “the strong one” becomes part of our identity. She shares her own experience of feeling responsible for other people's emotions, learning to receive help instead of always giving it, and recognizing when something simply isn't hers to carry.

We explore the difference between caring about someone's feelings and feeling responsible for them, why constantly rescuing others may prevent them from discovering their own strength, and how being needed can quietly become connected to our sense of worth.

You'll also hear practical ways to begin changing these patterns without losing the compassionate, generous parts of yourself that make you who you are.

Because healing doesn't mean becoming less caring.

Sometimes it means learning that you can love someone without fixing everything for them—and that you are worthy even when you're not taking care of everyone else.

Maybe strength isn't carrying everything. Maybe sometimes strength is putting something down.

  • 066 How much do you really know about your lymphatic system?

How much do you really know about your lymphatic system?

For most of us, the answer is probably not much. Yet this often-overlooked system plays an important role in fluid balance, immune function, and moving cellular waste through the body.

In this episode, Jill sits down with lymphatic health expert John Ossipinsky, known as Lymph Man, who has spent more than 30 years working with the lymphatic system.

John explains what the lymphatic system does, why movement and hydration matter, and how posture, exercise, diet, and simple self-lymphatic drainage techniques may help support healthy lymphatic flow.

They also discuss dry brushing, detox programs, systemic enzymes, inflammation, brain health, and John's simple “Lymph Man Shoulder Shuffle” that listeners can try themselves.

Most importantly, this conversation is an invitation to become more curious about your own body. The human body is deeply interconnected, and understanding how it works gives us another opportunity to become active participants in our own well-being.

Learn more about John Ossipinsky and his work at HealthyLymphSystem.com and through the Lymph-Brain Revolution podcast.

If this episode gives you something new to think about, share it with someone you love who may benefit from hearing it.
