Staying Faithful in a Culture that Has Lost it's Way

If you are a Pastor, Ministry Leader or Shepherd of God's people, thank you for joining us today. Before we dive in, let me say something to every refer Pastor out there…..I know the pressure is real and I know some days you feel like culture is moving fast and so far from biblical truths it feels impossible to keep up. I know the criticism is real…if you speak about cultural issues you are being political and if you don't you're a coward.

I understand the temptation to be silent and just preach the gospel without including issues hitting our culture hard. But I want to encourage you…do not check out. Now is the time to stand!

  • James 5 - Faith that Holds the Line
    May 19 2026

Welcome back to the Unshakable Shepherds podcast. I'm Michael Morisi together with Shane Bost and we are glad to be with you.

Today we close out our study through the book of James. And honestly… what a needed word this has been for the Church in this hour.

    James has not babied us.
    He has not entertained us.
He has not watered down truth to make us comfortable.

He has looked us in the eye and called us higher.

Throughout this letter, James has confronted double-mindedness, pride, favoritism, religious performance, uncontrolled speech, selfish ambition, worldly compromise, and passive faith.

But now in chapter 5, James lands the plane by calling believers to something powerful:

    Endurance.
    Steadfastness.
A faith that stays anchored when pressure comes.

Because real faith is not proven in comfort.
    It is proven in perseverance.

And I think every shepherd, every pastor, every husband, every believer listening today understands this tension.

    You can get tired.
    You can get wounded.
You can get discouraged watching culture drift further from truth.
You can feel the pressure of standing firm while the world calls darkness light and light darkness.

    But James reminds us:
    Do not quit.
    Do not compromise.
    Do not lose heart.

    The Lord is near.

So today, let's walk slowly through James 5 together.

  • Unshakable Shepherds - What’s Fighting Inside of us
    May 12 2026

Welcome to the Unshakable Shepherds Podcast.
I'm Michael Morisi with Shane Bost and I'm grateful you're here today.

I've been spending a lot of time in James 4 lately because honestly… this chapter feels incredibly relevant to the hour we're living in.

    Everywhere you look there's conflict.
    Division.
    Pride.
    Anger.
    Competition.
People constantly fighting to be heard, noticed, validated, or right.

And if we're honest… sometimes the greatest battles aren't even around us. Sometimes they're happening inside of us.

    That's where James 4 begins.

This chapter doesn't just deal with behavior. It goes after motives.
It pulls back the curtain on the human heart.

And I think if we'll let it, James 4 can bring us back to humility, surrender, and intimacy with God in a really powerful way.

So today I just want to sit with this chapter together… like brothers talking honestly around a table… and let the Word of God search us deeply.

  • Unshakable Shepherds unpacks James 3 - Power of the Tongue
    May 5 2026

Brothers, welcome back to the Unshakable Shepherds Podcast.

We are not here just to add to the crowded podcast market … we are here for truth.

We are living in a time when everything that can be shaken is being shaken—but the Word of God remains unshaken. And the call on our lives as shepherds, as men of God, has not changed. We have been in the Book of James the past two weeks.

Now James 3 turns the spotlight somewhere even more dangerous…

    Not trials.

    Not works.

    But the tongue.

Because before faith is seen in your hands…

it is revealed in your words.

And brothers—this is where many shepherds either build or burn everything God has entrusted to them.

    So don't take this lightly.

Let the Lord examine your heart. Let Him purify your words. And then step back into your calling with clarity, courage, and conviction.

  • Unshakable Shepherds - James 1 - Standing strong in trials
    Apr 22 2026

We are not living in ordinary days.

And God is not calling ordinary shepherds.

In this episode of Unshakable Shepherds, we step into the opening words of James 1—a passage that doesn't comfort the flesh… but awakens the spirit.

“Consider it pure joy… whenever you face trials of many kinds.”

    Let that settle.

    Not avoid them.

    Not endure them.

    But consider it joy.

Why? Because God is doing something deeper than relief—He is forming endurance, strengthening faith, and producing a steadfastness that cannot be shaken.

This is a word for shepherds, leaders, and believers who feel the weight of the moment…

    When culture is pressing in.

    When truth is resisted.

When the cost of standing firm feels real.

James doesn't call us to shrink back—he calls us to stand up.

    In this episode, we unpack:

Why trials are not interruptions, but instruments in God's hands

How endurance is forged, not gifted

The danger of double-minded leadership in uncertain times

And what it means to shepherd with bold, unshakable faith when everything around you is shaking

This is not a call to comfort.

This is a call to conviction.

Because the world doesn't need more passive voices…

It needs shepherds who are Unshakabl

  • When the Same Truth gets two Different Reactions
    Apr 14 2026

When the Same Truth Gets Two Different Reactions

What happens when the same truth produces completely different responses?

In this episode of Unshakable Shepherds, we step into Acts of the Apostles and explore a powerful contrast in the life of Paul...Acts 17 and Acts 21.

In Athens, Paul is invited into the public square. The people are curious. They lean in. They want to hear more.

In Jerusalem, that same message sparks outrage. A mob forms. And Paul must be rescued to survive.

    Same man.

    Same truth.

    Two completely different reactions.

    Why?

Because the difference was never the message—it was the condition of the hearts receiving it.

Building on last week's foundation in Second Epistle to Timothy, this episode unpacks Paul's charge to Timothy, and to us, to not just follow his teaching, but his endurance, his suffering, and his unwavering faithfulness.

This is a timely word for pastors and leaders navigating a culture that can shift from curiosity to hostility overnight.

If you've ever felt the pressure to soften truth…

If you've wondered why standing firm is costing more…

If you're in a season that feels more like Jerusalem than Athens…

    This episode will remind you:

We are not called to be accepted, we are called to be faithful.

Whether you're standing in the marketplace or facing opposition, the call remains the same:

Preach the Word. Stand firm. Be unshakable.
