Episode 55, Kenneth Russell, brand ambassador for Riman, flips the script as a man in a female-dominated industry. Growing up he did not envision working in skincare but entered through exposure to brands like Avon & Mary Kay, eventually building a team that is about 95% women.

He reframed the business focus as "we don't sell skincare; we sell confidence and compliments," positioning skincare as self-care, self-love, and self-respect rather than vanity. Networking shifted his target audience to med spas, salons, barber shops, and nurse practitioner offices that carry skincare and supplements.

The statistics & stigma around men's skin health, melanoma risk, & sunscreen habits were alarming. Kenneth dives into the behavior changes he implemented himself before jumping into this business model.

Kenneth, our Ep 54 Guest, is an affiliate for #Riman #SkinCare.

Riman began in 2018 in South Korea and generated $2.5 billion in sales in the first four years, even through COVID. The company launched in the United States in March 2023 and has been growing since.

Kenneth works with a business partner introduced by Riman's leadership to support national expansion; he was pitched the opportunity as "ground floor" with a "cash rich company."

Kenneth is based in Oklahoma City, an alum of Millwood High School, attended Langston University, later completed his degree, and currently works as a professional behavioral health case manager. He transitioned into skincare as a brand ambassador for Riman after initially using "Dove sensitive soap and water."

He tried the Riman kit for about seven days and saw results around 30 days. His core motivation centers on family: supporting his mother, who had him at 15 and has been on dialysis for "30 plus years," and honoring his pastor and first lady (also his in-laws) who have been in ministry "approaching 40 years." He aims to find freedom to mentor without reliance on a paycheck.

In April of this year, Riman rolled out an all-natural makeup under the IncelDerm tag.
