    Jul 14 2026

Rachel Shenton is a wedding video editor with 11 years in the game! We have very different workflows and it was a blast comparing and contrasting different editing workflows.

Every editor has a unique approach to storytelling, pacing, music, color grading, and emotional impact. In this episode, Rachel and I compare our wedding film editing styles, discussing where our workflows overlap, where they differ, and why there isn't just one "right" way to edit a wedding film.

  • Desk Work Injuries: Tennis Elbow and Tendinitis in Editors | VES Ep 12
    Jun 9 2026

Tendinitis and carpal tunnel are very serious injuries for editors and can become a nightmare. I personally developed a tendonosis (Lateral Epicondylalgia) from editing and climbing. In this episode of Video Editing Systems I share what caused the injury, measures you can take to avoid elbow, wrist or shoulder pain while editing, and how I recovered from my tennis elbow. If you’re looking to continue to work at the computer and sustain a routine this episode is the one to listen to. Here’s a link to a video explaining what Lateral Epicondylalgia is and how to test to see if you have it. https://youtu.be/gf4dcg2i2HU?si=zDu0VhcrWPY_AfXFIf you have any kind of injury from working at a desk (or anything else) reach out!
