2024 Spring Turkey Season Opener! Shawn and Mike get together for opening morning and head to "Turkey Ridge"! Yes, the same Turkey Ridge where Shawn killed his 10 pointer with the bow last fall! The name rang true as 5-6 gobblers erupted, causing Mike and Shawn to change strategies! Shawn has been promising to call Mike in his first bird and he certainly held up his end of the bargain. In fact, he called in two! An opening day double! What a way to start the season!

Austin started hunting some public land hunting this year and had great success with a 10 pointer. They discussed how spring time scouting is the key for public land, which also a great time to look for sheds! In this episode, Mike invites Shawn for an afternoon hunt. After some mishaps while putting up Shawn's hang on stand, they decide to grab the climbers, their bows and go to a spot called Turkey Ridge! It turned out to be the right call as Shawn had an encounter with a 10! Mike has a mishap with his climber while trying to get down and Shawn has to be the hero! The blood trail plays out on Shawn's deer and he calls in the thermal drone! Even with the help of the drone, they still couldn't find him. Several weeks later, the neighbor finds the remains and Shawn gets to close this chapter on a great hunt! Redemption!

The 2023 hunting season is well under way. Shawn and Mike take a break to bring you stories from their first few hunts! Archery season can certainly be filled with emotional highs and lows! It always takes a few hunts to get into a rhythm, and sometimes, you just have to improvise. Mike loses the blood trail on his first buck which leads into the on going broadhead debate! Fixed or Mechanical?? A switch is made and it leads to success for Shawn!
