WHERE THE HELL IS NANCY GUTHRIE? A new virus is on a boat no country will let dock, Love & Hip Hop got a funeral date, and Spirit Airlines is trying to come back as a co-op. We were recording while the Knicks were in the playoffs. We are not okay.
The Met Gala gave us Blue Ivy being thirteen going on untouchable, Jeff Bezos paying $10 million to look like a Macy’s clearance rack, and Tyla approaching Rihanna like they were peers. They were not. Kid Cudi kicked MIA off his tour after Dallas booed her off the stage. And Blue Dot Fever — Ticketmaster’s little blue dots of shame — has claimed Post Malone, Meghan Trainor, and the Pussycat Dolls, who nobody asked to tour in the first place.
Oh, and someone on TikTok is trying to buy Spirit Airlines back for the people. $437 million pledged. Still not enough. Ryan might put in $45 anyway.

    Segment Breakdown

    Am I the A**hole?
A man inherited four apartments and is giving three to his kids from his current marriage — and nothing to the daughter he never met, who only reached out when she heard about the money. Joyhdae’s first instinct? “She’s not getting anything.” Ryan disagreed. They both have daddy issues. It got personal.
Love & Hip Hop: The Final Chapter
15 years. 30 seasons. 485 episodes. MTV finally pulled the plug. Mona Scott-Young gets credit for building it and blame for what it became. Joyhdae made a list of everyone responsible. Stevie J is on it multiple times.
Spirit Airlines: Power to the People?
Bankrupt airline. TikTok man. Green Bay Packers model. Half a million pledges. The math doesn’t math — but what does it say that this many people are desperate enough to try?
    The Met Gala Debrief
Blue Ivy has never seen a ceiling in her life and it shows. Rihanna made fun of herself and still won. Tyla went on Instagram to process her Rihanna interaction. We had to address all of it.
    Hantavirus on a Boat
A Dutch couple went birdwatching at a landfill. They boarded a cruise ship. No country will let the ship dock. Ryan is fist-bumping only. Joyhdae is not going outside. We have no CDC. We are not prepared.
    Kid Cudi & MIA
She got booed in Dallas. Cudi pulled her from the tour. She said she was quoting her own song. We said: this is the woman who was selling 5G-blocking underwear. There is no defense.
    Blue Dot Fever
$144 average ticket price. Artists blaming “family” for canceled tours. The internet not believing them. Ryan taking the D train to Yankee Stadium. We’re going through it together.

Let’s just say the country is doing a lot right now. And so are we.
Trump wants his face on your passport. The Supreme Court just gutted the Voting Rights Act. Klay Thompson love-bombed Megan Thee Stallion with a boat named the SS Stallion, a Bentley, and a house — and then cheated on her. And somehow the White House Correspondents’ Dinner turned into a whole thing. Ryan bought a new car the same week gas hit $5.15 a gallon in New York. Therapy is a running theme. So is accountability.
Oh, and Kehlani dropped a self-titled album on her birthday with Usher, Missy Elliott, Brandy, Cardi B, and more on the features — and Joyhdae owes Ryan an apology she is not going to give him.

    Heavy week. Good episode.

    Segment Breakdown

The Supreme Court Gutted the Voting Rights Act
And a lot of the same people who swore elections didn’t matter are very quiet right now. Joyhdae had a lot to say. Ryan cosigned, bought a car, and discovered gas is $5.15 a gallon. In that order.
Trump’s Face Is Going on Passports (At Certain Locations)
The DC Passport Agency. Online renewals are safe. But if you walk in there in person — you know what you’re walking into. This follows the Kennedy Center, the commemorative coins, and the gold signature on currency.
Megan Thee Stallion & Klay Thompson: It’s a Wrap
Klay named a boat after her. Bought her a Bentley. Had a whole Thanksgiving situation with Megan cooking for his father. Then allegedly cheated anyway. The PBS logo memes came next. The internet was unserious. The conversation was not.
The Correspondence Dinner Shooting (That They’re Not Believing)
Joyhdae worked a fundraiser for President Obama and broke down exactly how much security choreography goes into an event like that. Then she explained why none of what we saw made sense. Ryan brought up Chelsea Clinton and a restaurant in downtown Manhattan. It connects, we promise.
    Kehlani’s Self-Titled Album
Joyhdae said Kehlani wasn’t her ministry. She was wrong. She has since admitted this. Ryan accepted no apology. The album is on repeat and that’s the whole story.
    Dad vs Auntie Jokes
The jokes are on point this week. Joyhdae came to play. That’s all we’re saying.

If you’ve ever been personally offended by gas prices, held complicated feelings about a celebrity breakup, or woken up one day and realized an album you slept on was actually a masterpiece — this one’s for you.

Drop your take in the comments:
    • Was the Correspondence shooting staged?
    • Is Klay Thompson actually a cornball, or did circumstance get him?
    • Should Joyhdae publicly apologize to Ryan for doubting Kehlani?

  • Love Lost
    Apr 27 2026

Recording late because Joyhdae had an adult play date. That’s really the only context you need.

This week: a 6-year-old with a grudge and a guest list, Caitlyn Jenner finally feeling the consequences of her own vote, Kev on Stage telling Cam Newton he chooses love — and somehow that was the most controversial thing anyone said all week. Plus Rihanna’s baby girl Rocki, Drake vs. Kendrick part two incoming, and Ryan closes with a joke from Kev on Stage’s own page.
Make it make sense. We tried. We really did.

    Segment Breakdown

AITA: The 6-Year-Old with a Revenge Guest List
Eva was not invited to Elle’s party. Eva did not forget. It’s her party now, and Elle’s entire family can stay home. Mom is riding for her daughter. Is she wrong for that? Ryan and Joyhdae disagree slightly — but both land somewhere in the “that baby’s logic is airtight” territory.
Caitlyn Jenner: Reaping What You Sow
She campaigned for Trump. Has his personal cell number. Attended Mar-a-Lago. And now can’t get a passport because of the executive order she helped elect into existence. The irony is loud. The conversation is louder.
KevOnStage Said “I Choose Love” and Christians Lost the Plot
All the man said was he won’t use the Bible as a weapon against LGBTQ+ people. That’s it. That’s all. Joyhdae and Ryan break down what happened — and why the people coming for him might want to check their own receipts first.
Rihanna, Rocki & the Music We’re Still Waiting For
Baby girl Rocki has arrived and she is adorable. But is Rihanna coming back to music? Ryan says 2027 at the earliest. Joyhdae has a theory involving Jay-Z, Beyoncé, and strategic sequencing. Also: Drake’s Iceman may be dropping May 15 — and Kendrick might show up in a fireman suit. Just saying.
    Dad Jokes: Crowdsourced Chaos
Randy submitted one. Ashley submitted one. We’re not sure how we got here but we’re grateful.
If you’ve ever backed your kid in a beef, wondered what “choosing love” actually costs, or just want to watch Caitlyn Jenner’s choices catch up to her in real time — this one’s for you.

    Drop it in the comments:

    Is Eva the asshole?

    Is Ryan right about Rihanna?

Can Kev on Stage get his flowers please?

Look. We had topics. We chose chaos instead. And honestly? Yes.
This is the episode where we decided the world was a shit show, the news was too much, and we were just gonna see what happened. What happened was: an AITA about a girlfriend who thinks she’s already a stepmother to twins she didn’t carry, a man approached Joyhdae at a work event with very large plans and very questionable energy (Nobu might still happen — we’ll see), Trump beefing with the Pope, the Secretary of Defense accidentally reading the Pulp Fiction monologue as scripture, Euphoria being back and somehow no one’s fully invested, Justin Bieber making Coachella history, Michaela Coel being criminally underrated, Nia Long being fine for all eternity, and a debate about eel liquor in London that nobody asked for.
    Oh. And the jokes.
This is what happens when the plan goes out the window and the vibe takes over.

If you’ve ever looked at the news, looked at your phone, looked at the ceiling, and said “you know what, I just need to talk to somebody” — this episode was made for you... • You The Birthday
    Apr 13 2026

Y’all, we have questions. About Trick Daddy. About Gemma. About the back of the earth. About all of it.
This week we opened with AAVE expanding its lexicon (you the birthday — Ryan had NO idea), got into the looks maxing rabbit hole and why men doing things for the male gaze is a conversation that absolutely needs to be had, and then things escalated. Fast.
The AITA segment goes three for three — including a woman who got her wedding friend group-chat invoiced, counter-sued, and somehow we still ended up talking about Judge Mathis. Then Trick Daddy performed at an AKA conference, said what he said, and someone’s gotta pay that man the rest of his money. We mean it. Somebody at that booking office absolutely knew what they were doing.
Then we got real — the automatic military draft registration, the cost of a ribeye from Whole Foods, the dollar losing its grip, and Ryan saying out loud what a lot of us are thinking about the future. Plus: Melania’s unsolicited Epstein press conference, Kanye getting banned from an entire country, Usher deciding Chris Brown is his tour partner now, and Artemis 2 revealing that the earth is, in fact, booty butt naked in the back. We cannot make this up.
Dad jokes closed us out. Respectfully, we peaked.

If you paid full price for either of those concerts and feel personally victimized, you know where to find us. Class action is being considered.Which topic hit for you the most? Let us know in the comments

  • No Scrubs—Actually...
    Apr 6 2026

Ryan opens out of pocket—it’s a mess, and it’s a great time. Chili’s FEC records hit the internet and her defense was “I didn’t read the fine print” — from the woman who didn’t read the Pebbles contract. Brandy dropped her memoir, put Wanya Morris’ name in it, and the conversation about fast girls, who failed them, and where the real accountability lies goes somewhere real. Kristi Noem’s husband is out here doing something very specific on the internet. Nick Cannon tried to give a history lesson. And 12 tons of Formula One Kit Kats were stolen in Italy and nobody has a single answer.
Dad jokes to close it out. As always.

    Mar 30 2026

Ryan and Joyhdae reunite after a solo bonus episode, joking about Ryan’s unhinged moments and setting the week’s topics. They react to an “Am I the Asshole?” story where a man’s restaurant proposal ring is mistakenly delivered to another table. They discuss viral footage of 41-year-old Tommy Lee with Beyoncé’s 21-year-old nephew, Julez, criticizing the age gap and warning about consequences. They condemn Usher and Caresha for publicly defending or vouching for Diddy despite his conviction and other widely seen allegations. They praise Druski’s viral “conservative women” skit and the Grok AI misidentification tying it to Erica Kirk. They also argue over Jay-Z concert ticket chaos, then cover Jay-Z’s 2026 GQ interview. And, as always, they end with jokes.

If you’ve ever tried to buy concert tickets while actively employed — this episode is for you.
    Drop a comment:

    • Did Usher and Caresha owe the public more?

    • Was Druski’s skit too far — or not far enough?

    • Was the restaurant the real asshole in the AITA?

  • Blacker
    Mar 23 2026

With Joyhdae away on the West Coast, Ryan delivers a solo Virgo Season episode, mourning and honoring Kiki Shepard’s legacy on Showtime at the Apollo and shouting out "Once-In-A-While" Virgo co-host Asia Golden. Ryan reacts to Shyne discussing his and Ma$e's alleged overlap dating of Brandy, calling the public barbershop-style talk and Ray J’s response weird. He comments on rumors that Latto is pregnant and wishes her well, then jokes about going broke over Jay-Z’s two different Yankee Stadium shows plus the Roots Picnic, recalling past Beyoncé ticket stress. He touches on 50 Cent releasing a diss track with Max B, critiques Jamal Bryant’s claims about ending the Target boycott, questions Dwight Howard’s farewell tour, and says the A Different World return looks promising. He condemns the Rihanna house shooting suspect, calls for gatekeeping Black culture while criticizing Jack Harlow’s “blacker” comments, and vents about Oscars snubs, arguing Delroy deserved recognition over Sean Penn, topping it all off with a dad joke.
