In War the Creator, Gelett Burgess, an esteemed American writer, unveils a poignant narrative about the transformative impact of war on a young Frenchman he once called a friend. “Because he was my friend, because he was so lovable, because he suffered much, I want to try to tell the story of a boy who, in two months, became a man. I first encountered him just before the war began, and upon seeing him again after he had been wounded, the change was so profound that I could not rest until I uncovered the story behind his metamorphosis.” – From War the Creator (Lee Smalley)Copyright International Ambient Sounds Art World
