Bridget Westfall is approached by Maddie Blake, an emotionally damaged young woman who was one of the Mockridge Three - three juvenile offenders who went into Wentworth Prison as part of anti-recividism program where only two made it out alive. Maddie promises that there’s more to the story than what’s been reported, sparking Bridget’s own desire to uncover the truth.

Anna convinces Maddie that if the prison psychologists hear about the desperate measures she’s taken to get out, she’ll be bundled off to Wentworth’s psych unit – so she swears Anna to secrecy. Tensions escalate between Anna and Scarlett, as Bridget digs deeper into fateful events.

Scarlett and Anna’s feud gets dangerous, as Anna uses Maddie’s attempt against her. A note dropped in the corridor sends Allie to the slot, leaving the girls on their own without a mentor.

As Scarlett fights for her life, confusion reigns in Wentworth. Anna stands accused by the inmates, but Kara and Bridget don’t see eye to eye on continuing the RAFT program. Lorraine steps into Allie shoes as the girl’s mentor as Tom gets more than he bargained for.

The police interview the inmates, and Bridget and Jake undertake their own detective work as they try to uncover Tom’s attacker. Maddie returns to Bridget to deliver more detail about what really happened in Wentworth.

Maddie reveals more of her past life with Lorraine to Bridget. As the girls prepare to return to Mockridge, Allie gives Maddie advice that will spur her into devastating action.

Maddie enacts her plan to avenge past wrongdoings, setting Anna on a dark path. A confrontation with Lorraine takes an unexpected turn.

Bridget tracks back through the trauma that led the Mockridge Three to their fate. Bridget and Maddie reach the end of the road, and examine what hope remains for their futures.
