About this listen

virch is a program presented by CLIRA - Celebrating Life In Regional Australia. We love nothing better than jumping in our car and heading off on an Aussie road trip.

But sadly, reality gets in the way sometimes and so, we don't get out as often as we would like to.

And that's where virch kicks in!

virch is an abbreviation of virtual road trip! Every virch we complete will become a podcast that you can listen to without leaving home.

We will plan out road trips across regional Australia and chat to people who live and work in towns and regional centres along the way. We'll get them to tell us about their local area and what we should do when we get around to completing a real road trip.

And, of course, if you can get away from home and work for a week or two and can complete one of our virches for real, you can listen on the way to find out all about your destination before you get there!
