My life has really taken a complicated turn here in Oakthorne. I keep hoping some fairy godmother will show up and offer to turn back time for me. Not too much, just enough to ease this pain. Yeah. Right. As much as there's hurt, there's also Death. He is a complication, and a beautiful one I can't resist when I really, really should. He consumes my every waking moment, submerges me in raging desire I never want to break free from.

I thought trying to survive in a zombie-infested world was dramatic enough. However, after the darker turn everything has taken recently, that all seems like a walk in the park now. And don't even mention the plethora of mind-blowing revelations! All I want is to be with Miko, my yummy alpha werewolf mate. But too many hurdles keep getting in our way. Danger is closing in around us. Earth's apocalyptic fall was only the beginning. Dawn isn't done. Not by a long shot.

There's no rest for the, erm… Well, for me. Or for Tae Frost. The world is spinning into chaos, calling out for a hero. Can I rise to the challenge, or am I doomed to linger in this darkness? I have to hold on to hope. I have to be strong. For Tae. For Fizz. For the whole of my heart.

Things have really turned sour. I'd been looking for answers, but then along came the biggest plot twist of my life, with me as the star. Core-shaking stuff, details I would've been happy to never know. Sometimes, it's good to be left in the dark. Damn. My relationship with the mega-yummy billionaire vampire Tae Frost is now on the line. One moment, things were heating up between us, the next… WHAM! Rug pulled out from under. Hard.
