‘Life After Caring’ explores the process of moving life forward again after having been a long term carer. The role of carer is isolating. Little by little the carer becomes cut off from the people and activities that once made up the fullness of their life as an individual. As the needs of the person being cared for increase, the carer’s life becomes correspondingly enmeshed in the life of the one they look after. This is exactly what happened to me.
