This is confessions of a pastor. A relentlessly real peak behind the scenes of Journey Church in Bend, Oregon. From church in a strip club to a strip mall, going where Jesus would go to reach people Jesus would reach. The good, the bad and the ugly, all for the glory of God. A journey of misery & miracles. Your hosts are the founders, Pastor Keith and Kara. There really is hope for everyone.

Story0
Being a pastor is a lonely business. People in our churches don’t really know what is going on behind the curtain. I know, I lived it too. Confessions of a Pastor is a place for us to be open, honest and transparent about what it means to be a pastor today. Through my own experiences, reflections, interviews with others, resources and more, I hope that you and I both can find a place where we can let our guard down and just be us. I am not a perfect leader and this is not another “leadership podcast''. It's a support group for hurting, wounded and broken.

Story1
This long-awaited translation of Confessions, which Stephen Greenblatt describes as central to the legacy of Adam and Eve, enlivens the beguiling world of late antiquity. No modern, well-versed literature lover can call her education complete without having listened to Augustine’s Confessions. One of the most original works of world literature, it is the first autobiography ever written, influencing writers from Montaigne to Rousseau, Virginia Woolf to Gertrude Stein.
