When armed men infiltrate the tiny Peak District hamlet of Barkelow, Emil Torrance thinks they’ve cone to kill him because of his past. Escaping is easy enough for a man like him, but when he learns that all of Berkelow has been overtaken, he realises his son is in grave danger. Paul Fuller has been growing up too fast since the death of his father. Deputy U.S. Marshals and fellow Mormon ward members Terry McGregor and Skip Garret take the boy under their wing. They hatch a plan for a wilderness fishing trip at a remote Alaska lodge.
