When we see the fallenness of the world, it is often challenging to understand how sinners can stand before a holy God, but the gospel gives hope―justification that comes through Jesus Christ. This doctrine is essential to the gospel but has sparked countless academic and theological disagreements throughout church history, even contributing to the Protestant Reformation in the sixteenth century.

Renowned theologian John Frame sheds much-needed light on the message and method of genuinely Christian apologetics in this landmark title. This audiobook is read from Edwards’ original text with only a few minor changes to make it more understandable to the listener.

In this work, John Bunyan addresses the issue of imputation in great detail. The imputed righteousness of Christ was of the highest importance to him, as the only way of salvation. He opposed any manifestation of self-righteousness among Christians, any any claim of justification built thereon.

Archibald Alexander decrees that God is the only being who justifies. He stresses that justification is an instrument of Christ, and thus is by faith alone.
