Story0
These are more than 100 short essays on all things atheism and freethought penned by Lemuel K. Washburn, an American freethought writer and editor for the Boston Investigator. He talks about a wide range of topics, for example about women and the church, human integrity, the character of god and the idea and teachings of Jesus. At the end of some essays there are aphorisms from his pen. Washburn is best known for the Cosmian Hymn Book: A Collection of Original and Selected Hymns, a collection of hymns promoted as "perfectly free from all sectarianism" published in 1888. That little phrase of music becomes the anthem of a love story, a thread running through decades of memory, obsession, and loss. The Little Phrase is a podcast about that thread. Each episode, hosts Eve and Elliot trace how an imaginary piece of music — the fictional Vinteuil Sonata — ...

Stop me if you've heard this before on a pod/reviewer's show--"around the 20 minute mark the stairwell stunt is REALLY...." Yup. We don't like it either. And who wants to continuously use that ffwd button? We believe there are others out there like us. The Kino Speaker is a haven, a safe space where you can come and enjoy the mysteries and magic of the movies again. Come. Take a step toward something different.

The life of a cook is intense. On any given day someone can, and will, explode from the constant pressure. So why do people want to be a chef? The pay sucks, you work in a hostile environment, and the pressure to deliver is beyond measurable. Because it is in our blood. We are drawn to it and for some sick reason, we feed on it. Sometimes though, when it finally consumes us. We lose. These are the stories of the people that keep kitchens running. Their struggles and their victories.

Hello there, welcome to the first episode of Celluloid Days, my new podcast of film and film history. I’m hoping this show is a bit different as I enjoy research and I plan to use my curiosity to make things interesting. You see, this show isn’t just for the listener, but for me as well, to grow and learn, to explore films, and filmmakers.
