Story0
This novel begins with an odd inheritance at the end of a honeymoon, both parties being inexperienced. Then someone comes to visit, then another, until we've got a chaotic bedlam of New England's tragically off the wall odd ball relations. Our protagonists may not communicate efficiently at first but at least they've got a sense of humour. The humourous style keeps up as well as some moments of lustre and rich feeling about the printed word itself.

Story0
One of Robert Louis Stevenson’s bestselling works of his time, ‘The Lantern Bearers’ is a charming essay on the joys underlying realist literature. Sometimes mistakenly taken as a fictional narrative, the essay begins with three boys – of which Stevenson is one – who reside in a seaside town during the summer. Stevenson describes the various splendours of existence in the town, such as fishing, tide pools and the open sea air.

Story0
Lantern Theatre is a professional theatre company based out of Dana Point, California. All of our works are written in house and performed by professional actors. The characters in our plays revolt against laws of physics, the objectivity of memory, historical facts, and even the constructed reality that the playwright has set forth for them. Their struggle is that they must learn to deal with the consequences of their transfigured world: the reinvention of rules, physics, memories, histories, and technologies.

Fellow Christian artists: join Alicia Pollard in discussing how the eternal Word of God clarifies and beautifies the craft of retelling fairy tales. Whether you are retelling a fairy tale in the form of a novel, play, poem, short story, painting, or opera, the Bible provides the perfect illumination for ethics and aesthetics, morality and mystery. Artists who follow Christ have no better lantern than Scripture for studying and adding leaves to what J.R.R. Tolkien called the "Tree of Tales": the canon of folklore.
